Worked But Contrast lets too much light through (too bright)
2001 Audi TT MK1: screen for perfectly. Was easy to install with the right tools. But is very bright. The backlight is solid color and the LCD blocks different levels of light to create the background and foreground images. This LCD does not block light as well as the OEM LCD. I ended up buying polarization film to darker it. I tuned the angle of film to get the intensity I wanted but the contrast (diff between the characters and background) is disapointing.

Better have a professional shop ....
It isn't just a plug n play style connector. I took the time to remove the cluster and not only do you have to have special tools to remove the back from the cluster, the ribbon is not the style that just plugs into a slot on the board. You have to solder each microscopic little contact one by one. Better off to just take it out and send it off to be repaired by a professional shop. Costs about 200 bucks though

Used defective product sent.
I received a used product. The static bag cut was open, a mess of solder on the ribbon cable. There is clear heat damage on the product from someone's failed install attempt. No protective layer on the display just some ones greasy fingerprints.
