We found some mold under vanity that we had taken out, so I got to show my wife how well this ozone generator worked. Within about 10 minutes with the door closed. The ozone was so thick in the room. I had to open the window and turn on the fan, but not necessarily a bad thing… I did wonder if I put it in a 12 x 10 room with a fan on how long it would take to get to the sterility level, I am guessing not very long. Do you remember they say that ozone over X quantity is not good to breathe. if in a super high concentration, I will agree. It’s a little irritating on the nostrils. Easy fix.: turn on the ozone generator turn on the fan walk away for I don’t know 20 or 30 minutes unplug it turn the fan back on and leave the room. Provide some sort of ventilation and go away for an hour. That was what I did and it completely just annihilated the mold that was in our bathroom even the mold that was underneath the moist subfloor.

I bought my first one and it lasted less than a year. I had it plugged in to a power strip along with a desk fan and it would come on for about 30 minutes twice a day. It lasted 11 months that way. My first 'barebones' generator lasted 5 years.That being said, I just purchased another because it is a really good price and it puts out a lot of ozone. Make sure you use it with a fan to keep the air moving across the plates and keep the transformer cool. Honestly at 28 bucks every year its a decent price. The next one I will check the wires inside first as other have suggested and maybe angle the unit a little to make sure the cooling fins on the bottom get air.

I purchased three of these to replace some of mine in a professional ozone generator that got damaged when my generator was used as a vac (long story) and the crud vacuumed in burned up the ozone plates. These on the outside looked identical to my original units. However, when I opened up the bottom where the heat sink covers the electronics, I discovered the components to be much inferior to my originals (power transistors and capacitors are smaller). Refer to my photos. The first is the current product I purchased, the second my original purchased replacement. This explains some of the reviews indicating the units can fry pretty quickly. I decided to use only the ozone grids to replace my damaged grids since they looked similar. It took some soldering/unsoldering but I am hoping I at least have kept the strong components. These ozone units cost less than half of what I paid for a previous replacement so this makes sense now why the great price point. My previous replacement purchase was not from Amazon I should note.

Works right out of the box. Took off the back heat sink panel first just to make sure no bare copper wires were shorted out as some people have mentioned.Mounted in my truck directly in front of an AC vent to get cooling air and ran for 20 minutes. Will probably repeat a couple times to get rid of smoke odors. We shall see....NOTE: This thing will "wake you right up" if you happen to touch the generator panels! High voltage, be careful, would jump start your heart in a pinch.3 stars at this time, will update later.

This is a replacement generator for my ozone unit. In the picture you see two copper wires going to the transformer. They were touching so after a while the vibration caused them to short out, burning up the circuit board. I opened up the new one before installing it and it was the same way. So open the bottom and separate these wires before using it! (You can’t see the arc marks in the pic).

The unit works great for mold spores and mildew smell. Had to return as the unit I had stopped working(no cool purple glow on plates) removed musty odor in our crawl space.

I have these on a very specific timing circuit that allows me to run it for 30 seconds a day, because that's all you need to keep a room smelling super fresh! Now when I walk into the room it smells like a fresh breeze! Careful, it's easy to over do it. My room is 12ft x 14ft and literally 30 seconds a day is plenty. Amazing little machine!

One reviewer posted how 2 copper wires touched inside the machine, very good info with pics. I unscrewed the bottoms and very carefully opened it ( it only opens a bit as something is attached) and gently separated the wires. Very easy to do
