RealFlight 9.5 Flight Simulator, Software Only, RFL1201

Reading some of the reviews amaze me. A range of complaints about delivery which has nothing to do with the software. Then there are complaints that the software "doesn't work", without any indication about what the symptoms were. I installed RF 9.5, no issues. However, the s/w did not find the wired connection to my Spektrum DX7S. The OS (Windows 10) saw the device, but the s/w did not. I then bought a Spektrum WS2000 Dongle, and, after binding, the s/w and the DX7SS were communicating. The s/w is great, so many model aircraft to choose from, many challenges. Much better to crash a virtual plane than a real one.

Real flight uses real models of actual r/c planes. You can also fly this in VR. Instead of crashing a 300 dollar plane you can practice with this software first. You can also customize your planes as well. You create a calm day or a windy one. You can even do some night flying as well.

There are a ton of planes and helicopters and even boats. It’s a great remote control simulator for what it is but the one thing I dislike about it is I couldn’t use my old rc wire setup I had to buy the wireless usb drive which is really dumb but a side from that it’s the best RC sim I’ve ever gotten to use to train with my planes

More planes from different brands would be nice and the biggest problem I have had is the frame rate causing the program to crash. It starts fine, then the frame rate drops and the program deactivates (so I have to click the screen usually mid flight). Then it crashes after a couple hours. Otherwise, very great simulator. My computer is just above minimum requirements and might have some other problems, so it might not be the program.

Very fun and well thought out program. Almost a must for learning to fly RC planes. PC, GPU and monitor may make big difference in your experience.

I had some issues downloading from the internet and then just downloaded from the CDrom and it loaded without any issues. Great number of options, planes and airports, land, water, daytime, night flying, gas, electric, smoke, safe mode, models as the actual planes and copters, etc. Bought the USB receiver and use it with my own controller which is great.

If you fly with a spectrum, this is a must-have 9.5 is very well done and works very well, very realistic.

There are countless problems with installation!My computer far exceeds all minimum requirements to run this software, yet it will not install. Horizon Hobby has NO TECH SUPPORT. I e-mailed Horizon about this. All I got was a form letter. No support.Return of software was refused. Again, all I got was a form letter saying my computer does not have minimum requirements. How would they know? There is no tech support. They have no idea whatsoever what computer I have! Also, for the first time ever, AMAZON WOULD NOT STAND BEHIND THIS PRODUCT. In the past, I've always had good results with Amazon returns or issues. Not with this product. Amazon did not help. If you buy this product you have a very HIGH RISK of loosing your money.
