Sometimes when I click the button to switch inputs, my keyboard won't work and I need to unplug it and plug it back in. And let's be honest if you cared about that you'd get one of the more expensive ones.If you want a cheap and mostly effective USB switch though here ya go.

I've used it for a week and realize that the wires will pretty much be everywhere because of the nature of my setup. It is extremely convenient to switch between three (later 4) devices and two computers. It notices when another computer has been attached to the device too, which is nice.I don't know exactly why this happens, but on my work laptop, it seems like the mouse freezes. I have not established the specific conditions of this behavior, though it seems to happen more often when multitasking between monitors. I open a new application on one monitor, move my mouse to another monitor, and then it freezes. I would have hoped that I could resolve this without unplugging and re-plugging in my mouse.The other curiosity I have had with this device is that it sometimes refuses to wake up the desktop computer to which it's attached, even after confirming that it's on the correct mode. Direct connection between the keyboard/mouse and computer allowed the computer to be woken up before. I can get by via pressing the power button, but this is inconvenient, something I was hoping to avoid outright once I consolidated my desk clutter with this.Overall, amazing in principle, but there is something about its function that isn't hitting the spot.

My last USB hub I had (different brand) was terrible and stopped powering on so I bought this one to replace it as I had a multi-pc setup. It works perfectly, even without the need for the micro usb cable since I don't ever have my backup hard drive plugged in. The color switching is a bonus and helps me label which PC it's toggled to.

I've owned this switch for not quite four months now. It started out fantastically, but about a month ago it started intermittently, and for just an instant or a couple of seconds at most, dropping connections.Sometimes the connection will drop long enough for Windows to recognize a USB device disconnect and reconnect and play the little chime when a device is removed or inserted. However, usually it will drop for a fraction of a second and not register with Windows that it dropped. When this happens, your mouse ceases all input momentarily. If doing a drag and drop, or a screen snip, or something else that requires a held mouse button, it acts as though the mouse button depresses and then represses. It screws a lot of things up.It took me a while to isolate the cause was the USB switch. At first, I thought it was a defective mouse. But after troubleshooting (and replacing) with another MX Master 3S mouse, it became clear it is the switch. Using the mouse directly on the PC results in no further drops or hiccups.TLDR: Expect about 3 months (or less) of use from this thing. Not worth your money. Find something better.

My Ablewe switch is slightly more than one year old. The switch worked very well on purchase, auto-changing between an Alienware desktop PC and a MacBook Pro. I use the switch to share keyboard and speakers, not mouse or display. This week, it started to switch itself randomly from PC to Mac, while I am active on the PC. The keyboard stops working and sound stops. Unfortunately, if I am playing a game and this happens, when I press the controller button to switch back, the sound doesn't return in the app, and I have to exit the game to re-enable audio. My only solution is to disconnect one of the computer sources so it won't switch to it. If the behavior continues, I'll need to replace the switch.
