SHTF Survival Boot Camp: A Course for Urban and Wilderness Survival during Violent, Off-Grid, & Worst Case Scenarios

An incredible source of information from a credible source who's been there.
If you want a glimpse of 'shtf', this is the book for you. From the Balkans region, Selco Begovic survived a full year of "Hell" in the midst of the civil war from 1992-95. This isn't a set of fictional stories; this isn't a novel. This is a true story with true events - not 'based on', but the actual truth, told and presented by Selco and fellow author Toby Cowern.Extremely thought-provoking, this is a wealth of information you should have in your library - and mind. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone wanting to be prepared.

Very informative
I’m still not through the whole book yet. So far so good. It’s not just about skills to survive, it’s really goes into how one thinks in those situations. Surviving isn’t just about stuff but also how you deal, think and react.I think it could use a bit more editing for some misspelling. Other than that, I appreciate the book and am thankful Selco is sharing his experiences with us.It is well-written and laid out. Definitely worth buying. Get the book!

Good read
I have followed Selco's writings and the book expands on his experiences; If you have never considered what would happen if "normal" society collapses or would like to get into Prepping, I highly recommend the book.

Not for the weak at heart.
Just what you need to know, but hard to confront for those that don't think SHTF will really happen. It takes more than a few prepper items to be prepared.

Some interesting thinking, but..
A different take on urban survival, from someone who lived through the Balkan conflict. It's very much Selco Begovic's own experience turned into advice, quite a lot of which won't apply directly outside his specific circumstances. But useful in many ways. The distinction between prepping (emphasising what you have) and survival (emphasising what you are) was new to me. The bug out vs bug in choice raised some very relevant issues. Finding shelterOther elements are not so novel, and much of Toby Cowern's wilderness material is a familiar re-hash. There is little coordination between the techniques of urban and wilderness survival. The illustrations are poor. And the book (and I understand this is largely in Selco's own words) is very badly edited and proof-read. "But Out" instead of "Bug Out" in a chapter title is sloppy. "Well, water..." is not the same as "Well water...". And so on.This could, with proper treatment, have been so much better. But worth a read all the same.

Real Solid Useful Information
A dense read with lots of information. Useful and shockingly informative. Needed more editing, not that I minded the second-hand English from one author - but there are spelling errors as well.I have not finished reading mine as it IS dense with information, so I pick it up every few days. Bought this book mainly for the SHTF SURVIVORS perspective - I thank the author for sharing this traumatic experience. You have co-created a very useful resource to prepare others in case trouble comes their way. God Bless.
