Our granddaughter really enjoys playing with Hot Wheels. We saved her mother's collection from when she was little, so there are lots of cars for her to choose from. I bought some track with sling-shot type launchers, but she is too young to understand how the mechanism works. This double ramp looked like a good option because it has a simpler launch mechanism. Indeed she was able to make it work immediately. There are, however, some big design flaws in this set. First, the checkered flag mechanism at the bottom makes either slows down or stops the cars so it is not possible to use the connectors at the bottom to add more track. This can be remedied by removing the flag and tab mechanisms (remove screws, take apart, replace the blue piece) and just use the blue arch as a decoration that adds some rigidity to a fairly flimsy system. The second issue is the ramp at the back. In one of the photos it shows this ramp stationary at the top, when there is actually nothing to hold it there. I am thinking of removing that too or adding some supports to keep it in place. A small design change would make this possible. Third, the lift in the garage is too high to drive a car onto it. That is solved by a child's imagination. Even with all of these flaws, our granddaughter is having lots of fun.I found out that we are not the only ones having these problems by watching a few of the YouTube videos on this set. I have definitely learned that I should watch the videos before purchasing rather than after. There are lots to choose from so I don't recommend any one in particular.

I got this for my 2.5 y/o son who loves Hot Wheels. It is a neat concept to be able to race the cars, and see the flag point to the winner. We spent quite a bit of time over the past few months playing with it together. So I have some a tad more detailed thoughts on it:It is was shorter than I expected, though I didn't read the dimensions. The track comes apart very easily if moved.Quite a bit of cars that fit on track get caught at the finish line. If two cars both hit the finish line nearly same the time, the flag will lean towards the winner but snap to the losing side as the second car hits. This sometimes causes the second car to get caught at the finish line. The lever being so close to the cars at the starting point frequently allows toddler fingers to prevent one car from racing.

This was a great idea that was poorly executed. The plastic is so thin, that it flexes and falls apart easily (see the blue lift on the floor. Also the track comes apart at the hindge easily). In comparison to the quality of he hot wheels garage that we purchased less than a year ago, the difference is substantial. Also the mechanism that shows which car won, only works sometimes. My kids just got this last night and they already have grown frustrated with it, and have gone back to the other hot wheels sets.

Maybe it's a new design but this DOES NOT connect to the regular hot wheels racetrack. I was hoping to have a long track in between the starting and finish lines, but there is no way to connect them to the additional track pieces that I ordered. Very disappointing and pretty much worthless. It's a really short track - who cares about a 'race' that is only a foot in length? What fun is that?

Bought this for my Granddaughter who is just starting to play with hot wheels. We also bought the track expansion pack (must have) to get a longer straight away. One of the first toys she grabs when she comes over now. She really likes playing with the drag strip portion but spends as much time playing with the garage portion as well. Folds and stores nicely and so far has held up well. One negative is it only comes with one car which is kind of puzzling since it is designed to be a drag strip, so you will need to make sure you buy another car if this is your first hot wheels purchase. Other than that I would say this is a good way to introduce your child or grandchildren to hot wheels. If you find this review helpful please let me know as I only write honest reviews of items I actually purchase and use.

All of my kids, 2-8, love this! The 8 year old does elimination races with all of his cars to find the fastest; he and his younger sister pick cars to race each other; the 2 year old just likes sending them down the ramp. They've had it for about 5 months now and it still gets constant use.My one problem is that there's a little thing at the end of the ramp that tips a flag to show which car got there first. It kept sticking so that the car in the left lane would get slowed down or stopped entirely. I was able to take the finish line apart with a small screwdriver and remove it.

It is a short track- but long enough for a half decently exciting race. Several reviews mention the cars get stuck at the end of the track. This is fixed by getting a standard orange track section and cutting it in half. Attach one half to each of the included track connectors at the end of the racetrack. The cars now will roll onto those half pieces after finishing instead of getting stuck, and, thus, an inaccurate winner. The set folds up easily. When folded, it stores 6 cars on the top of the set. You can unfold the garage and park a car on the lift. Flexible plastic parts allow you to "fuel" and "wash" your cars. An elevator at the rear of the set allows you to drive cars onto the elevator and lift them to the starting gate. They will roll off the elevator. You can press one of the flags next to the cars and they will roll off. Do this slowly, however, and you will notice one of the cars gets a slight head start. The track falls apart easily but takes less than 5 seconds to fix. The set only includes one car, so you cannot race 2 cars right out of the box.Out of the box, there is about 15 assembly minutes, 14 of them in sticker application. The big main sticker appears upside down when the track is unfolded.Overall, my opinion of this set is bad. If you are a racing enthusiast over age, like, four, buy something else. The inaccurate flag winner decider thingy plus the unfair starts plus the short track plus the huge amount of imagination you need plus the stickers makes this set not worth it.

Awesome truck for my son's birthday. He was happy to load all his hot wheel collection in to the truck. Pls find the attached pics. I surely recommend this product to all the kids who want to make their rack space to be used in minimal.Thank you amazon to make the delivery on time

Great item, does exactly what its supposed to, my son loves playing with it with all his cars.

cheap quality plastic. Not up to the standards of Hot wheels. Not worth the price at all.
