Titanium Dioxide Soap Making, Crafts, Paints and Pigment Colorant Resealable Pouch TiO2 PTR-620 5lb.

So i used this TiO2 in an unconventional way to what I assume most will be looking at it for - I used it for concrete countertops.While researching concrete countertops I found several vendors selling either white concrete or white pigment to add to regular concrete, both at very high pricing. Looking at the data sheets the primary ingredient in the special concrete white pigment was simply TiO2. I took a gamble and ordered 15lbs of this to complete my countertop. I mixed it at a rate of 5% with standard 5000psi concrete and got an amazingly good result.If i did it over again the only thing I would change is going to maybe 8% mix and also premixing the pigment with the water for a more even distribution. I mixed the dry pigment simply by pouring it over the dry concrete mix, stirring a bit, them stirring in the water. It created a few small spots that are slighly whiter than the rest of the countertop, but overall add to the character of the countertop.My one gripe is the shipping of this TiO2. The vendor shipped it to me in plain zip loc bags. One bag was split a little and got powder all over. The images here show a nice paper bag labeled with the manufacturer's name and model number. What I received was nothing like that, just white powder in a zip loc bag. Good thing my FBI agent was off that week ;)
