Simple, Effective Ideas for Creating and Sustaining a Dot Journal
I received this book before its publication date, which was a lovely surprise, and I immediately sat down to read the entire thing in one sitting. This book is full of simple, effective ideas for creating and, most importantly, sustaining a dot journal, and is absolutely worth the money. In the past few years, I've started -- and stopped -- two dot journals. When I did use them, the system was effective and allowed me to really make it my own. Where my own personal blockages came in was when I went on social media to see how others formatted their journals and was inundated with images of complicated, artistic spreads that made me feel as if my dot journal was ugly. I'm of the minimalist approach, and seeing all of those gloriously decorated and colored bullet journals made me think I was doing it "wrong," so I stopped. (Silly, I know, but it's what happened, and I know I'm not alone in that.)Then along came Rachel Wilkerson Miller's "Dot Journaling" book. She gives those of us who are intimidated by the artsy dot journalers permission to be our wonderfully minimalistic selves. She provides different types of simple, yet visually appealing, layouts for each section of a dot journal, allowing us to be as creative (or not) as we want. The humor she injects throughout is very engaging and fun to read.I soon bought a Leuchtturm dot journal and some fine-tipped gel pens to begin my new dot journal journey. With the author's tips and insights, I've been able to thoroughly enjoy my third go-around into dot journaling. It's become a central part of my life and goes with me everywhere. I'm very glad I ordered this book!

Fully recommended
Really surprised by this book! While I know something about this style of journaling already & bought this book for a few extra ideas, what I got was so much more! This book is so easy to follow & it's all written with a great sense of humour. Think I'll be reading this more than once.
