Super value for money for audiophile phone listeners
Very affordable Compact noise elemination, that works well for audiophile phone listeners. While there are better products in the market 3 to 4 times the price of ifi, this one beats the others hands down in value for money. It's better than the audioquest jitterbug as well, which is warmer sounding than the ifi, as the Isilencer + the idefender together gives a very low noise floor in you misic listening, with added dynamics and a slightly enhanced sound stage.Works extremely well on phones. Also does a decent job on DACs, DAPs and CD players of the are low to mid level. On hi-end products, the better and more expensive ifi products work well.I absolutely love the idefender + Isilencer on my phone and A&K DAP.

If you have multiple USB audio devices and are experiencing that USB noise then this is for you.
I've got a USB mixer/interface plus multiple audio devices that can also connect USB to my computer. The issue is with all the devices connecting both USB and audio to the same device (mixer) I get that annoying buzz/crackle digital noise from having multiple grounds all connected together. This allows me to break the ground between each device and solves the problem. The iDefender works great for me.

Great product
This stopped the buzz and interference sounds that has been in my studio for years. I will say this is the best product I bought in 2023 😊. Cheap but powerful too for noise in the studio. I tried expensive products before this and none of them worked. It was delivered earlier than expected and no complaints. I strongly recommend this product and seller.

Solved my noise problem 100%
I have an Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 external audio interface, which (important!) draws its power from its USB C connection to my computer's USB hub. I noticed that whenever I connected my piano keyboard's MIDI interface to my computer (also via USB), then the Focusrite added a 2400 Hz hissing sound to any signal routed into its Audio In. The reason was that this MIDI interface disturbed the ground signal in the USB system, which the audio interface needs to properly interpret the Audio In signal. Changing the MIDI interface (MIDI to USB) didn't change the problem, as the ground was disturbed already in the piano. This iFi Defender, removed the hissing sound completely. Two important things to consider: (1) I plugged the Defender between USB hub and the piano's MIDI interface (!), not between USB hub and Focusrite audio interface. (2) Make sure (!!!) you add a 5V (!!!) USB-C signal into the Defender's side; without it, the hissing doesn't go away; higher voltages short-circuited my system, causing me a major scare. So take a regular small (!) cheap iPhone charging block for this 5V side signal. I first used just some free USB power slot from my high-end Anker charger, which usually provides only as much power as needed, but more than 5V in this case apparently; here this literally overpowered the Defender and caused a crash; so don't make the same mistake. All that said, I am quite happy to finally having gotten rid of the hissing sound. The Defender seems expensive, but I am really happy I found a way to solve my problem finally! :-)

Removed the power supply noise from a port powered USB audio interface (m-audio Duo)
Used with an external PC USB audio interface that suffered from high levels of audible noise that derived from the PC's internal 5 volt power supply. When used on its own it brought the noise to an acceptable level, with an external quality 5 volt DC supply connected via the USB-C port (you will need a decent regulated linear PSU as the result will only be as good as the quality of power available from the external source) it is completely noise free, it is supplied with a USB-C to barrel adaptor (pin = positive / barrel = negative) or use your own USB to USB-C lead.It is expensive for a small dongle, but it supports full speed USB2 (480Mbit) data rates, the readily available cheaper units advertised struggle to achieve USB1/1.1 (1.5 or 12 Mbit) speed which is important for an audio interface.

Works great, in specific situations
This completely eliminated the buzzing noise from my powered speakers from my PC.I have everything connected to one outlet to avoid ground loops, but I had some major buzzing noises from the speakers that matched the frequency and noise of the coil whine from the GPU. The reason the noise propagated to the speakers was because of my audio interface, which is an Audient EVO4 which is USB-powered only. So the iDefender+ bypassed the power connection from the PC which in turn removed any kind of buzzing noise. Very happy with the result, even though it's quite expensive it did the job.Keep in mind though that you absolutely do have to plug this device in on the side with separate power from a charger.
