Very good wireless keyboard, with some flaws ( I did not like)What could have been better:1) What I missed though was the num pad.2) Also, and the latency in typing was quite visibly slow, I am not sure if that was this piece or K8 itself was like that.3) Pinging sound was quite loud and irritating but, that could have been corrected, and I did not want to spend time doing that4) Height of the keyboard is too high and requires to float or use a wrist pad5) Above all to top it, they shipped me a wrong order so, had to return but, I would love to have it if it was not for the fixed switch's, num pad.What was Better:1) Excellent RGB brightness2) Size for travel and build quality (Superb)3) Packaging4) Bluetooth & MAC compatibility6) Value for Money choice7) Easy to clean between the keys even without removing key caps8) Very easy to MOD9) No other Keyboard with such good MAC compatibility10) Key spacing

I bought a second one so that I could keep it in my RV where I program and write when I'm on the road.Many modern keyboards seem to neglect the backslash \ key by making it small or combining it with the forward slash key. This keyboard has a large backslash key above the enter key. This is crucial if you're a programmer using a Windows PC.It also has a physical switch for Bluetooth or wired mode. This is very convenient for swapping my keyboard around from Bluetooth if I need to type on a device that I'm debugging and then right back to the PC where the development environment lives.I could do the same thing using the hotkeys that allow this keyboard to switch between multiple Bluetooth devices. That's nice if I want to answer my personal phone and use the keyboard to type with it while I have a debugging phone and the PC development environment all at the same time. It's much nicer than using a KVM switch to swap between various devices as we used to have to do.I know this is a gaming keyboard. The clicky keyboards remind me of the old-school IBM keyboards, but the feel is much lighter and less clacky because the switches activate before bottoming out.This keyboard may seem expensive compared to random keyboards you can find, but this is a quality piece of mechnical-electrical machinery which I will expect to use for 20 years or more.I bought a second one because I want a backup 30 years from now in case anything happens to the main keyboard that I'm using to type this right now. If you're going to learn to become accustomed to a particular keyboard layout for programming, it's really annoying to switch to another keyboard. So I want a backup just in case anything happens to my keyboard or the company that makes it.The small form factor is nice, too. I can actually shove it into the same laptop bag as my laptop. The option to become wireless (over Bluetooth) on a switch is a really nice versatile feature. When I'm in a desktop situation, I go with wired. If take my laptop with me, I can leave the wire in the bag and just use the wireless when I'm at a coffee shop or at a park. When I get back to a desktop, I simply reattach the USB-C wire that was included to recharge the keyboard. Being USB-C also allows me to use any connector I find lying around the office if I happen to forget to bring my own.I could do without all the gaming features of the glowing lights and stuff. But I understand that's their core market, not ancient programmers like me. However, I looked all around for an appropriate programmer's keyboard and couldn't find one. Despite being a gaming keyboard, this one checked off all of the requirements and then some for a programmers who is one the go. If you're a programming nomad, you will not find a better keyboard to suit your needs.

This is a REALLY good keyboard. The Keychron brand seems to be aimed a bit more towards high-quality simple mechanical keyboards built with quality and great feel. That said it is excellent for gaming albeit quite tall and lacking a wrist rest to keep your hands comfortable at the right height.I originally purchased a K4 but, after to-and-fro-ing over the K4’s rather tight layout which I didn’t get on with, ended up sending it back and exchanging it for this K8 model.If you want a compact, well made mechanical keyboard with a conventional layout then this is definitely recommended. It’s now my work daily driver (I’m a coder and IT tech).The Bluetooth pairing allows up to 3 separate devices at once with fast switching between at a single 2-key combo press. A really great feature. It also works as a USB keyboard via the nice quality USB-A to -C cable as well as charging from the same cable. Charging works while in USB mode snd Bluetooth works while plugged into USB via the mode select switch on the side.The extra thought to include all the required key caps, a puller and a switch on the side to allow it to work as a Windows or Mac/iOS layout easily is a really great touch.All in all a really good quality keyboard for your day-to-day at a very decent price point.

Ticks all the boxes for me. I wanted a mechanical keyboard with blue switches and a TKL layout that was geared towards MacOS and had RGB lighting.Pros+ Has bluetooth connectivity+ Also has USB receiver connectivity+ Mac-centric. The super keys are Mac by default. Comes with swappable windows keycaps if needed. There is a switch on the side to switch between Mac and Windows super key settings. I know you can manually swap around the command and option keys on a Windows keyboard in the MacOS setting, but it's nice that you don't have to+ Mac-centric function keys. The top function keys mimic the controls of a standard Mac keyboard (brightness, mission control, launchpad, ...)+ Great price+ Switches feel great. I know not everyone is a fan of Gateron, but these blues feel great. I'm typing this review now on the Gateron blues and it's a joy to do so!+ Battery life is great. Even with the lights blaring, this bad boy lasts ages. 4,000mah is no joke.+ Has a dedicated screenshot button. I take a lot of screenshots for work and this is much better than using the keyboard shortcut.+ If you get the one with an aluminium frame, the build quality is ace+ Despite the solid aluminium build, the metal ring is not too bad! Sometimes you get this annoying ring with solid aluminium keyboards, but not here. I think keychron has some dampening material inside it. That being said, if you get blue switches expect it to make a noise! I've seen reviewers complain about blue switches being noisy, but that's like getting a revved up sports car with modded exhaust and complaining about it being noisy... that's kind of the point+ Looks nice and normal and not gaudy. You could bring this into the office and not be laughed at.Cons- The lights are not that bright. I've owned a fair few RGB mechanical keyboards in my time and this is the dimmest. Logitech's shine through LEDs were the brightest. Corsair's were brighter than these. My el-cheapo off brand keyboards were also brighter- RGB settings are limited. You won't get the RGB customisation options of a big gaming brand like Logitech, Razer or Steelseries. In fact, all you can do is cycle through some presets.- The font on the keycaps is quite small. Personally this is a con for me and contributes to the RGB lights being dimmer as there is less shine through the letter/symbol. If you prefer a muted subtle look, the this is fine.Neutral* This is a thick keyboard. It sits quite tall on the desk. Depending on your preferred ergonomics, this may or may not be an issue* I received a used keyboard that was a little soiled. The backspace button was stiff and could not be pressed properly. I sent it back and got a new keyboard so no dramas.
