Mode 1, DIY mode At this mode, you can program lighting color, intensity and lighting time. Once it save, next day the light will auto turn on exactly when you set the light. First button -- 3 lighting time available( 6 hours, 10 hours or 12 hours), you can choose one of these lighting time, for example, 10 hours. When you set the light at 7:30 am, it will turn off at 5:30 pm. Second button -- 7 colors available(full spectrum and 6 single-colors red, blue, green, purple, cyan, orange) Third button -- 9 level intensity options ( 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%,100%, 75%, 50%, 25% and 10%) Mode 2 -- gradual 24-hour light cycle At this mode, this 24/7 fish tank light replicates the natural living conditions, starting with warm orange light at sunrise to bright full spectrum light at noon and starry blue light at nighttime. If you made the timer think it was an hour earlier than it really was. It would turn off an hour earlier than 22:30 and turn on an hour earlier than 06:00 the next day. Vice versa. For example, when you choose 8:00 at 7:45 am, it will turn off at 22:15 that day. Next day, it will turn on at 5:45 am. Fourth button -- press this button to choose the nearest time section. Give 10 seconds, the indicator light jumps to each time section. Leave it. The light changes the light color and intensity mimicing the rhythm of nature . Notice: 1. You need to reprogram the light if power failure. 2. Do not put the light underwater. 3. Always keeps the switch timer in dry condition.

Great light, 24h cycle is awesome!
I'm just getting my setup together, but I've been playing with this light for the last 2 days. I'll update this review with any issues once I get my tank setup and planted. The good:-Bright full spectrum light-Super slim-Lightweight-Stays VERY cool to the touch-24h mode is great, and unlike what I've read about the timer on some other Hygger products it does turn fully off. (I haven't tried the 6/10/12 hour timers yet as I don't plan on using them)The bad:-Directions are pretty confusing, especially when it comes to how the 24hr timers work-I don't love the slide-out legs for mounting, but they do the job-RGB Modes are neat, but probably useless to most-No memory if power is lostOn the 24h mode. You can kind of see how it works in the video for the product, but here are some details/info.-The daylight cycle takes approximately 16.5 hours from start to finish.-Day light starts at a dim orange and slowly works up to full bright for the late morning through afternoonish, then starts winding down.-The last ~30mins are blue only LEDs that slowly fade out to off.The 24h button is probably the most confusing part of the directions. It has 8:00 / 10:00 / 12:00 / 15:00 / 18:00 / 22:00 settings. This is for setting where in the light cycle the current time of day is. As an example if I power up the light and want to start the 24h cycle, and its 10:00am I set it to the 10:00 button. If it was 3:00pm I would set it to 15:00, etc. Now the cycle will start at 6am and end at 22:30 (10:30pm). There is a little time math involved if you want to set a different start time, say 7:00 am instead of 6:00am. But this time schedule is perfect for my use.Overall I am very excited to get my setup complete and see how it looks with this light.**UPDATE** This light continues to be awesome! I've had it running for about 3 weeks and my plants are taking off! The "sunrise" is beautiful as well. My one and only complaint so far is that the plastic that covers the LEDs isn't secured in any way and will rattle occasionally from my wavemakers/filter. Should be an easy fix tho.

Great 10 of 10!!!
This is a great light! You won't believe me when I say, it is BETTER than my Finnex 24/7 planted+ light (on another tank) that costs 3 times as much but it is true! The 24 hour setting on this light is fantastic and it turns completely off from 10:30pm till 6am! On the much more expensive Finnex light, that light never turns off and instead goes to a blue only light mode that is way to bright.I very much like and prefer this lights in-line controller compared to the remote controls on other brands of lights that always go bad long before the light does. The light makes everything look great inside the tank, and this will have absolutely no problems growing low to medium light level plants.Build quality and materials used are perfect.I have this 12"-18" light on a Fluval Spec V and it fits perfectly and is MUCH better then the stock light that came with this tank.I still cannot believe I got such a great light that has better features then the Finnex 24/7 planted+ at this price point!

Gradual change 24 hour light cycle
I got six of this for my 12 tanks of Bettas. Awesome lights. I love the 24 hour setting. It mimics the hue and intensity of natural light cycle, and the changes are gradual. You barely can notice the changes unless you sit and stare at it for some time (or during water change in my case).

Does well as an aquarium light for tanks with live plants.
Works well for my planted aquarium. I replaced a standard day/night tank light. The goal was to try and switch out plastic plants for live plants. After a couple of weeks using the old lights,, the plants had not grown much from seeds. When using the new light, they exploded in growth within the first 24 hours. i recommend this light if you are looking to provide light for live plants.. It has many different lighting levels/led combinations during the 24 hr cycle and you can jump into them when starting a cycle. With the 24 hr cycle i no longer have to remember to turn the light on and off. The one gripe I have is the fit to the tank is a little awkward. I would have preferred a few different mounting options or end patterns that might have better fit my lid /tank rim. I'm likely to need a different lid or to modify my existing one to make it all fit properly. Can't knock a star off for this but it likely won't fit well with some tank lids.

Great fish tank light!!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This light is awesome and the price point is even better. They come in several different sizes to fit whatever size tank you have. The colors range from white, blue, green purple, yellow, and cyan. The light is dimable as well and also has a 6h, 10hr, 12hr and no timer settings. This is also a good for planted tanks. If you are looking for a budget friendly great light, look no further. This is the one! This is a great company for your other fish supply needs.

Great light for the price point
Love this light, it is bright enough to reach the bottom of my 36g bow front, my amazon swords are already growing faster than with the factory led light. Its only been a week. I love the 24/7 feature as well. Only things i would change is the mounts are just standard and slide off my rimless top easy and i wish the light on the remote for the 24/7 mode didnt blink always. Overall for the price point and for my low to medium light low tech setup im happy

Very bright!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This light is great for aquariums with fish and plants. The timer settings shown in the attached videos cycle through a variety of light intensities. The wakeup setting is quite dim, and allows the fish to have a little morning light without the shock of a full-blast high intensity light. Perfect for skittish fish!
