Q: Do these include both two of the Mopads and two of the related wedges, which allow a range of speaker angles from 8 degrees down to 8 degrees up?

As others have said, when you click on "1 Pair" you actually get what is pictured when you click on "2 Pairs" - 4 MoPADs and 4 wedges all in one retail box, enough to float 2 speakers using 2 MoPADs per speaker.When you click on "2 Pairs" as I did, you get 2 of these retail boxes or a total of 8 MoPADs and 8 wedges, enough to float 4 speakers using 2 MoPADs per speaker.So the pictures for both 1 pair and 2 pairs are wrong and deceptive. I bought the 2 pair option because I believed the description and the pictures, but this is twice what I needed for my KRK Rokit 6 speaker pair, and almost twice the money.

Q: Do these MOPAD-XLs come as 4 pieces or two? The original MOPADs come with 4 pieces, so one can set speakers level.

Mine came with the two pieces that are pictured and also the wedges that you can shift the speakers up, down or level....4 pieces in all.

Q: is it a pair for 2 speakers?

Yes, for a pair (2) of speakers.

Q: Are these wedges dense foam or soft? I would like to use to put under through wall AC to tilt backwards. Will these work for that application?

The wedges are foam and dense enough to sit under a set of heavy bookshelves without deforming. From the sound of it, but depending on the size and weight of your AC, it might work.
