Strongest chew toy yet! Now updated review
Great biting toy. My little guy is small but he is systematic, methodical and highly competent in destroying, de-stuffing-fying and eating most chew toys or there. I've tried all major brands and this one together with his antler have stood the test of time. It doesn't splinter and bits don't break off. It 'frays' and in theory even if he swallows it it should be passed out from the back end. We've had it a month and it's the longest surviving chew toy we have.Update: We were delighted with it but recently, we noticed some blood on the rough edges of the toy. We checked his mouth and noticed some scratches on his gums from the rough surface. Running my fingers over the chewed surface, it does feel hard and sharp and perhaps the cause of the bleeding. There is no hx of dental issues. Unfortunately, we've chucked the toy and I've reduced the rating from 5 to 2 stars.

Please supervise
Our corgi girl broke her larger premolar on her left side (carnassial). We have a variety of nylabones for the different textures, including the hard white ones (suitable for all dogs according to description). She is a very well-behaved dog who only chews her toys, and when on walks, we always keep her by our sides within sight. Therefore, we were very surprised when a regular vet visit found out that she has a broken carnassial. She did not show any sign of pain, thus not ringing any alarm bells during supervision, and the broken tooth was only found because we asked specifically for a complete body check including teeth. Given that her hardest toy by far is a nylabone and she does not bite anything else, we are inclined to deduce the connection. While most dogs seem not to suffer from this problem with nylabones, there are precedents in forums.Hopefully one day nylabones will be completely safe toys. It was heartbreaking to remove an adult tooth from our corgi who just turned one not too long ago.

Her favourite
Of all the toys we've bought her this is the top one. It beats the Kong, frisbees, leather chews (which vanish in seconds) pigs ears, rubber ring, etc. She chews and chews at it and makes almost no progress, I think it will last for ever - it feels very hard but she likes it. The photos show the result of a month of heavy chewing activity (and nothing else i the house getting chewed) Highly recommended. (Our dog is medium sized, collie cross, age 1).

Best we've come across in 30 years of dog parenting :)
These are the only chewable things I will let my large Rottweiler have ... they last a fair while longer than anything else we've tried (although have to be replaced eventually as they become 'all rough edges') .... this doesn't seem to come round too frequently though so we're happy :) ... the only negative I would point out is they are quite noisy if they drop on wooden floors - we're mostly (old-fashioned) carpet so not a huge problem to us.
