The spline on the seudo rodd connection piece that you adjust the height with is garbage, I've gone through 3 returns of this product and the final return the company sent me 3 extra connector pieces knowing it will just sheer off with any sort of pressure. that piece needed to be a solid piece of steel with a steel spline. Otherwise this product is useless and will break guaranteed. I still use the 3rd replacement by drilling a hole through the connector piece and using a screw to hold it down instead of the spline....because it will sheer of indefinitely with any sort of pressure guaranteed. Do not purchase this product unless you want to DIY it after it breaks after the 1st or second use.I'll do the same as lots "I have 40+ years of experience fishing and gear related" unfortunately they're all full of it. This product is worthy of $20 from aliexpress at best. Pass on this immediately.

Maid mainly of plastic including the reel shaft and the clamp screw. The clamp is not very stable, and so is the reel shaft. The whole impression is that if one tries to tighten the screws more to stabilize the set something will brake. I can't image it supporting heavy trolling reels as it claims. It definitely does not worth 57 CAD.Update: After using it less than 10 times, the reel holder detached from the metal bar, so I had to glue it back with epoxy. Not good :(

I am an avid fly fisher. I’m from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, so I have gear for anything from small brook trout, larger brown and rainbow trout, to Atlantic salmon. Owning 7 reels, it is always a task to clean the line annually on each of these reels. This product allows me to set up an empty spool to unload line to cleaned, and in the process, clean it with a 3m cleaning pad. Then, once it is unloaded, reload it all onto the reel applying my line cleaner at the same time. This beats the alternative; stretching it all throughout the house or out in the yard to clean or change lines.It’s compact and easy to assemble, and fairly sturdy for being mainly made of plastic. It grips to the surface well. In my opinion, it is well worth your money

In looking at this product, I assumed the star drag wheel on the built in handle would provide some sort of tension to the new spool of line as you wound the line onto the reel. Sadly, it does not, which leaves this as functional as using a pencil.Disappointed this doesn't have that function.Material is plastic and it twists and slides when trying to add manual tension to the line.

Great little unit, able to apply as much or as little tension to your real with ease. would recommend and would buy again
