Bought this to have an extra cake plate as I seemed to be sending cake and cheesecake everywhere and only had one cake plate. This one is very sturdy, had a 2 layer completely coconut frosted German chocolate 9in cake in there and I could have carried it by the handle. Just for easy of mind, I didn't. A 9 inch cake with frosting didn't leave a lot of space on the outside. I frosted the German chocolate while it was already on the cake plate. Because I wasn't sure how much room I would have and you can't make coconut frosting pretty anyway. The top corner of the cake didn't hit the lode but it was close, there was more room above the cake so you couple easier do a triple layer 6inch if you wanted. I've also fit a 9in cheesecake just fine.It has survived the dishwasher a couple times already. The bottom plate is a little thin and it did warp a little bit after the first run through. Once you have cake it in you would never know. The clips haven't broke off on me yet. They are kinda of tough to get open. I usually unlock 2 and then flip the lid over and down to unhook the last one. I am happy with it. I like green so the color is fine for me. I also like that it takes up less space in my fridge. I will probably buy another once the clips break on this one

What's not to like. A practical and lovely to look at cake carrier at the right price with nice 3 snap area closure. My simple bundt cake fit in nicely and stayed fresh for a couple of days. Because after a couple of days it was eaten!!! The price was just right and is a great convenience when you want to bring homemade goodies to a friend and add a little bling with the packaging that is reusable for them. Not that it is a necessity, but, I need to find a plate that will fit inside the bottom so that it can be taken out of the carrier if the hostess wishes and doesn't have to go looking for another dish from their own collection. But, this is a 'perfectly right practical product at a good price'. Thanks. Mrs. P.

The handle seems a little flimsy, would worry if I had a heavy Bundt cake in there, thus the 4 stars. Used it for the first time yesterday. The locking worked great, and felt very secure. I just carried it by the bottom. I am not crazy about the color. White would have been good. In my same order I bought cardboard cake circles, and it was a tight fit to get them it to settle squarely. Not this seller's fault. Good thing I tried it before I put the cake on it. Just a little trim and it was fine.

I bake alot and frequently take desserts to other people's houses. This is great for transporting cakes and also for storing them at home. I plan to order a 2nd one right now.

Looked at a lot of cake carriers. This one is spacious enough for a large two-to-three level cake or a large bundt cake. Very sturdy and clasps snap tightly. No worry about transporting. The seafoam green is a dreamy color for any cake. Highly recommend.

This item is a pleasant surprise. It's light, seals tightly, and carries securely. The quality of materials is good, and it is a perfect size and shape for any cake under 9 inches. It doesn't take up too much space in the frig either.

Every time I make a cake I frost and decorate it directly on the base. It looks pretty and purple which I love. When it's time to put it in the fridge I just put the cover on and it's good to go. The locks are very sturdy and secures the cover to the base. The only thing it makes a loud noise when releasing the locks and I wake up my family when I sneak a piece in the middle of the night!

After reading poor reviews of other cake covers/carriers/storage, I was hopeful based on the high star reviews of this item that it would work. Nope! It does not work for a 2 layer 9" inch iced cake. When I received the package I checked out the clips to make sure I understand how it worked before I put a cake in it.Made a 2 layer cake, 9" round, iced, ready to go, and it was already on the base plate ready to put the lid on. Imagine my shock and horror as I put the lid down and saw it touching the sides of the cake!!! And it touched the top of the cake also, ruining the icing in certain parts.I thought it was my mistake and maybe the cake wasn't centered quite right, so I recentered the cake and tried again. Nope! It touches on at least 1 side and the top, and the clips do not clip!!!This could work for a 1 layer cheesecake or 1 layer cake, or to transport cupcakes or maybe a pie, but it does not work for a 2 or 3 layer cake and honestly I wouldn't even trust it to transport cupcakes or a pie, you can't hold it by the handle in the top and carry anything around inside, I wouldn't trust the clips to stay clipped with anything inside it at all. If you're going to chance it and use this to carry something, hold it from the bottom at all times.So disappointed this didn't work out, I was really hoping it would.

Great product

The box is sturdy and clips together very well and was a decent size for our Christmas cake. Comes with carry handle, just perfect for our needs.

Made a beautiful Victoria sponge full of buttercream cream and jam to take on a week away journey took 2.5 hrs and cake was still in perfect condition on arrivalIt also kept the cake beautifully fresh for 5 daysLove it

Is not airtight….Not worth the money!

The product was not very sturdy and even if it had arrived in good condition I don’t think it would have stood up to regular use.
