OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS Introduction to Bioinformatics

The book is well structured and covers many relevant topics.However like with many textbooks - many efforts were spent on introductory parts while the complex stuff like sequence alignment is not explained well.

The book is basically a series of disjoint chapters on random topics ranging from neural networks to structural biology with little to no coherence. The author fails to present bioinformatics in a systematic, first-principles manner.

Come da titolo, non c'è molto da aggiungere. Gli argomenti sono ben approfonditi (per essere un'introduzione alla bioinformatica) e ben spiegati. Non servono particolari prerequisiti (parlo da laureato in biotecnologie) se non un discreto livello di inglese (i libri sull'argomento in italiano scarseggiano).Consigliato.Arrivato senza un graffio, amazon resta una garanzia.
