Build quality is evident, weight is a plus
I was impressed by the build quality of this device. The finish was evenly textured, the lights were clear, the fit of the button and the ports was perfect. The cables were heavy and 6 feet long, I think they were true USB 3.0. Everything inserted cleanly and with a solid fitment. The switch operated cleanly and had a subtle but satisfying click when switching, something I missed in my other switch. One thing stood out, the box seems to be weighted. It was impressively heavy for it's size, and I assume the reason was to keep it level and still when cables are plugged in. Other switch reviews I read complained about light weight boxes floating or sliding off the table from the weight of the cables. The SGEYR stayed where I put it. Also, the weight gave an illusion of quality, like it had more value inside, something I felt even though I was aware of it, so enjoy that.I did have to return mine. It didn't work with one of my computers, and it wasn't a bad cable. They accepted my return without giving me a hard time. It may be that my second computer wasn't compatible with this newer hardware; the switch I replaced it with is much older. It worked like a dream with my fancy keyboard and newer computer.I do recommend this switch, I felt it was much better made than the others I've had.

Metal, sturdy, and works great for sharing keyboards and mice between 2 computers
I chose this one over similarly rated switches, because it was constructed with a metal exterior, and seemed to be more sturdy and "substantial."The item works great. I have a Dell laptop and a Surface computer sitting side by side, and this switch allows both to share a single mechanical keyboard, number pad, and wireless Logitech mouse. With either computer running, the switch recognizes that computer and automatically routes the attached USB devices to it. With both computers turned on at the same time, you simply push a button on the top of the switch to switch the keyboard and mouse from one computer to the other. The switch comes with 2 USB A-to-A cables to attach to the computers. It also includes a USB micro cable to power the switch, which is recommended to ensure the peripherals powered properly. The switch does NOT come with a USB plug adapter for the power cord though. Fortunately, it's a standard 5V plug adapter, so you can pretty much use any old adapter you have sitting around the house. Just check the adapter you use... the small print on it will tell you if the "output" is rated for 5V.Very nice and sturdy switch. I recommend it highly.

Dependable + Affordable product but not perfect
PROs- allows me to switch sources on the fly for several usb inputs- includes an indicator for which source is currently receiving the output- about 50% of the time will automatically switch sources when no devices are powered on and you need it to toggle to the newly powered on machineCONs- Device won't lay flat!- Auto switching is inconsistentI'd probably give this device a 3.5* rating if possible. It does accomplish the right end goal of switching between output sources. I'd take 1* away for the most annoying issue, which is the box not being heavily weighted so it has balance issues. The weight of the cords coming in on the back panel are greater than the mass of the device itself so it just wants to topple off the desk. That's horrible. I looked around at other devices and they all suffer from this same problem. You can see in my pic I used a carpentry clamp for now, but will need to spend money on some heavy duty velcro etc. Forcing your end users to fix your own design flaw is really lame. I'd take half a * away for the auto source switching not always working as intended. Not a huge deal bc I can push the button myself, just don't advertise it if its a buggy experience. All in, it works and I'll move on with life. Those are my 2 cents 👍

Works great, and great customer service.
This switch works great, and is excellent for going between work and personal PC’s.Had an issue with the first switch I received where it had stopped working, but was able to contact the seller who quickly sent me a new one that works great and they were very easy to work with.Highly recommend!

Doesn't Work for Touchpads -- Too Much Latency
This switch is a good idea, solidly built with metal case and supports USB 3.0, but it doesn't work at all with a touchpad. I wanted to use it to switch my keyboard and touchpad between two computers, but the latency on this switch is so high that it takes 2-3 seconds for the touchpad to respond every time I touch it. To be clear, I'm not talking about the time it takes to switch between computers. I'm talking about once you're connected to a computer, this box introduces latency into the connection so that EVERY TIME I touch the touchpad, I have to wait two seconds for it to "wake up". This doesn't happen when the touchpad is connected directly to the computer. It's completely unusable for this purpose, so I'm returning it.
