We have a winner! Great Value and Build Quality, Some Challenges with Tempo and Drum Pad Programming
Pros:- Incredible value for the features offered- Superior build quality compared to the Arturia Keylab- Versatile and well-designed keyboard controller- Responsive and dynamic playing experienceCons:- Difficulty in pulling tempo from Logic- Cumbersome drum pad programming in LogicSummary:The M-Audio Oxygen Pro 61 keyboard delivers exceptional value and boasts better build quality compared to the Arturia Keylab. It offers a versatile and well-designed keyboard controller that enhances the playing experience. However, there are a couple of challenges that arise when working with Logic, specifically regarding tempo synchronization and drum pad programming. One significant advantage of the Oxygen Pro 61 is its remarkable value, providing an impressive range of features at an accessible price point. The build quality surpasses that of the Arturia Keylab, ensuring durability and longevity for extended use.The keyboard offers a responsive and dynamic playing experience, allowing musicians to express themselves with precision and accuracy. The keys are well-designed and provide a satisfying tactile feedback, enhancing overall performance. However, there are some hurdles when it comes to integrating the Oxygen Pro 61 with Logic. Pulling tempo from Logic can be a challenging task, which may require additional troubleshooting or configuration to achieve proper synchronization. This issue can potentially disrupt the workflow and hinder seamless collaboration between the keyboard and the DAW.Additionally, programming the drum pads in Logic can be a cumbersome process. It may involve navigating through complex menus and settings, which can be time-consuming and less user-friendly compared to other platforms or controllers.Despite these challenges, the M-Audio Oxygen Pro 61 keyboard remains a highly valuable and well-built controller that enhances the overall musical experience. While the tempo synchronization and drum pad programming in Logic may require extra effort and patience, the keyboard's performance and versatility make it a worthy choice for musicians and producers.TL;DR:The M-Audio Oxygen Pro 61 keyboard offers incredible value and superior build quality compared to the Arturia Keylab. It provides a versatile and well-designed keyboard controller with a responsive and dynamic playing experience. However, there are challenges when working with Logic, including difficulty in pulling tempo and cumbersome drum pad programming. Buen producto

I love it
This midi controller is professional level. I don’t care that they say. Surely, there are better ones but for what I paid this is even better than I thought. I am in love with it.

FUN
We use it to dub in some effects in a recording studio.A bit convoluted when using PreSonus Pro though

Brand new midi user here
As the subject implies, I'm new to midi controllers but not to making music in general. I used to use Fruity Loops back in the day to make simple and fun electronic music and decided to give it a shot again. Back then I only used a PC but now I've decided to include a midi controller to see what I can come up with. So this is a hobby for me at this time.I have no other midi controller experience but what I can say is that the hardware seems to be high quality. Keys, buttons, knobs, etc all seem good. No complaints. Now the firmware side of things is where it gets a little tricky. The time it takes to create an account, update firmware (correctly), setup MPC Beats, setup Mlok licenses, etc is kinda of a pain to be honest. And then I think I had to do something with presets if I recall. I had to follow a youtube video to get the hang of things. M-Audio website and instructions were pretty good it just took a little time. But once I was up and running, MPC Beats (the included free DAW) worked just ok.MPC Beats is not intuitive. I realize this is a midi controller review, but MPC Beats is advertised as the included free DAW so I might as well touch on this. MPC Beats is confusing when you are ready to build a song. Making beats and recording is fairly intuitive, but assembling them into a coherent song is very hard in my opinion. The relationship between tracks, sequences, and programs is confusing. I ended up creating a really cool beat and was unable to actually hear one of the warm pads I was using. The song editor screen was buggy and not intuitive. I couldn't figure it out for the life of me, so I ended up extracting the audio for each sound into separate audio clips and inserting into FL Studio. Why am I bringing this up? I ended up paying a little extra for FL Studio software so I could actually create songs easily instead of MPC Beats, so you may or may not find that MPC Beats actually provides value to the package sale.Overall: Controller itself seems nice, but included MPC Beats is confusing. If you are like me and don't like MPC beats for actual song creation, then expect to pay extra for another DAW.

All dies quasi im Handumdrehen, also ohne Wartepause.

Good value and very flexible in use.
This is good value an very flexible in use. It can work very well with most virtual instruments. The instructions are well written and clear, and readilly available on the M-Audio web site. So look there first if you want detail. The keys don't offer the range of sensitivities or aftertouch that more expensive keyboards offer: much more expensive keyboards. And that's probably the biggest criticism of this - and maybe an unfair one for its excellent price and value proposition.A beginner could use this - but someone who has spent the effort to pair the very generous number of sliders and pads up (or to do that for the beginner) will get far more pleasure and utility out of it. Any adult who can read the manual of the language of their choice, should have few problems in following the excellent instructions.Portability? It's about as portable as an electric bass guitar, and really needs a decent padded gig bag or case if you're going to be lugging it about on a regular basis.

Posso consigliarlo tranquillamente a tutti.

Possibly the best 61 key midi keyboard
Early days, as I’m only just discovering the possibilities with the Oxygen Pro61, but I will tell you my initial findings thus far. M-Audio’s Oxygen Pro61 build is impressive, feels solid and made for the road. As a plus it also looks the business too. Keys are exactly as stated, they feel great, maybe a little noisy but only noticeable in a silent room. With headphones on, or on the road with amp and decent speakers no one will know. The pads, all fully lit, look great and work well. Sliders buttons and dials all feel solid and positive in action and function. Theres also adequate connectivity on the back panel. M-Audio also bundle some of the best software to get you going. Ableton Live needs no words from me, you’ll likely already know how good Ableton is, and thats just one of the options. This keyboard has complete freedom to program whatever DAW you like. Ableton and Apples Garage Band works seamlessly without any tech requirements from the user, pretty much plug and play. As I say, early days for me with this keyboard but first impressions are as the title says, 'possibly the best 61 key midi keyboard’.

Retrograde step
I have used an M-Audio Oxygen 61 key controller keyboard for quite a few years, but needed something more compact to free up desk space. I did some research but decided to stick with the brand I knew and trusted, but overall it's not been the experience I expected. It works fine, the keys take a bit of getting used to in terms of feel : but setup and mapping for actually more difficult within Propellorheads Reason (manual not automatic discovery) and tweaking controls is fiddly. It works perfectly well once configured, plays fine once used to the different keyboard weighting, but I was expecting progress from this much later device - not a bit of fiddling to get to where the old one already was. At least I have the extra desk space I needed, and haven't missed additional octaves at all
