We opened a new business checking account, not sure we'd need ANY checks, because the bank will pay bills by check for free.Great plan!Until we needed to include a check with the special form to ensure the tax account gets credited correctly. Oops!I remembered being very happy with two previous check orders, and the company exceeded my expectations yet again. The order was correct, they gave us "priority" treatment, and I was thrilled with my tiny minimal order of checks.Of all the check companies I've ever dealt with, these folks have NEVER hit me with surprise charges when I am completing the order, so the final bill is exactly what I expected going in. Why isn't everyone this way? Well I am sure the other guys hope you'll just grit your teeth and go ahead to finish the order. When you eventually get the checks, the other guys hope the previously hidden fees will be a dim memory. Not for me!I really appreciate the straightforward service. Before my first order a few years ago, I looked up the phone number of the company, and needed some reassurance I was ordering the special checks and register book I needed (different business from THIS order). They answered my questions efficiently and courteously, then made sure to let me know I'd get the special pricing I had seen only via an Amazon order, not by dealing with their sales office. Refreshing! They've made me a loyal customer, too.I've been so satisfied, I would definitely recommend this company over others even if they charged a bit more, or if I didn't have access to the convenient Amazon ordering setup. (It really IS easy and convenient. Other check companies make the online ordering process much more difficult than it needs to be.)Sorry to gush, but I am a happy REPEAT customer.

In a world where writing a check is becoming a thing of the past these checks meet that challenge. I write at most 4 checks a year so I don't need anything fancy. I used 3 checks so far and none of the government agencies I wrote the checks out to have complained. In fact, one agency (The IRS) loves the checks so much they requested I write them out some more. So, if you want to forgo the fees you're charged when paying government agencies online these are the checks for you.The reason I scored the checks a 4 stars is because they are not preloaded with money. In order to use the checks and not receive an insufficient funds notice from the recipient, you have to have money in your checking account that you provided. Nowhere on the box is that stated so take note of that.

I have ordered them in the past; they're as good as the ones you get through the bank; just cost less.

I purchased this to replace my Primary checking account book. It's excellent quality and well worth the price. Not missing anything. Very nice feeling and looking.

Though nearing extinction, paper checks still come in handy when paying businesses that refuse to go digital or charge some ridiculous "convenience fee" for the privilege of saving them money by paying electronically. While we can't force places to modernize, we can save ourselves a few bucks by shopping around and not paying the $30 some banks charge for a box of 100 basic checks.This check design from Carousel was all-business, with no serene background art, inspirational quotes, or other such fluff. Just your contact info, bank account info, and bank name on a straightforward beige background; the only flourish was a decorative curlicue around "Pay to the Order Of."The ordering process seemed mostly idiot-proofed, with several reminders that you need to customize your checks before leaving the website. It doesn't matter to me, but if you want something like your name printed in bold font, contacting the company may be required.The default font was unadorned, thus easy-to-read. All information was nearly printed and accurate. The paper felt different, thicker than the average check, a bit like those "convenience checks" credit card companies used to send to grow your indebtedness.Given the value, hassle-free ordering process, and fine, usable end product, why pay more?

These are as good as the more expensive checks you order on line or by your bank.

These checks sure beat the cost my bank charges for new checks. I was a little leary at first because other reviewers said they were not accepted by certain places. I have paid all my bills with them and never had a problem. Also, some people say they rip when you tear them off. They will if you don't do it correctly by pressing down while carefully tearing. A minor inconvenience that I can live with for the money.
