Smart LED WiFi Controller, Updated Wireless 24 Keys RF Remote Control for GRB BGR RGB LED Strip Lights, Compatible with Alexa Google Assistant IFTTT with Free Magic Home App (2 Pack)

I bought 2 - 2 packs for a total of 4 controllers. My plan was for 3 different projects, 2 kids rooms, and kitchen cabinet lighting.Other reviews state that the 2.4g remotes can't be isolated to an individual controller. This is not accurate. All you have to do is follow the directions to assign a specific remote to a specific controller. Out of the box all remotes will control all controllers. The screenshot provided shows 1 remote paired to controller I had selected. This would be a major issue as the remotes are not IR and don't require line of site. 1 remote would change both kids rooms and kitchen cabinet lighting causing all the issues you can imagine.The controllers were very easy to sync with the Magic Home app. It was also easy to sync Magic Home with Alexa. 2 of the controllers replaced generic IR controllers for each kids room. My kids love not having to point the remote and having the controller tucked away out of sight. They also advised that the LED's can be both dimmer and brighter then the previous controller could do.The Magic Home app is now my favorite smart device app now. Other apps I have used are Geeni, Feit Electric, Smart Life, & Vont Home. I'm sure there could be other apps better then Magic Home, however I have not paid the money for the more name brand devices that could have better app development.

I've used similar devices that look the same and seem to function the same. When they work they're great! The Magic Home app seems to have changed since the last time I had to try to configure one of these. And this one supported BlueTooth and Wi-Fi, which seemed to complicate things. Now, granted, I have a hugely complex network with over 50 IoT things so it might be me, but it took over 30 attempts to get this to connect to my network. Here's what I've learned. You can't use a hidden SSID until after it's configured, and that is still questionable. You can't have a VPN on your phone/tablet. You need a very powerful wi-fi signal. It's most likely to work if you start by rebooting the router and your phone. And don't be surprised if it takes multiple tries for reasons you can't explain. Or sometimes they just connect like they should first time.

I don't get the 5 star star reviews. I have a different brand of LED WiFi controllers that look just like these in my home theater and they work flawlessly. These? Didn't work at all no matter how many times I tried. I even set up a router outside literally within 10 feet of the controllers and nothing. Everytime it seemed like it was ready to connect, it would drop the signal and I'd have to start again. I have 1gb from my ISP and eero 6e and eero 7 routers so I don't have "cheap WiFi. Wish they would have worked because it's so convenient to change LED colors through Alexa rather than using a remote. Personally, I'd pass on these until they can figure out how to put better antennas in them.

5/5This will be a short review as I have absolutely no complaints about these and they are exactly what I was expecting and works better than their price would suggest. I ordered these because wish ripped me off with crappy controllers. The lights all worked but the pairing controllers cross-talked and didn't operate according to the control. Anyway, that's why I opted for these. I had them paired within a minute of plugging them into my LED strips. The native app is simple and works. Easy to figure out though not complete with a getting started wizard to introduce you to the features. Anyway, once paired I can pair to the phone's mic, music, patterns, and a color wheel. They pair flawlessly with Google Assist and I can now control them by not only weather conditions, sun and lunar cycles, and Google Assist Routines where they turn off certain commands and routine chains. Perfect. Gonna order 2 more sets 5/5.Note, pay attention to the product description. These do NOT include a power adapter. This is the controller, you'll need to provide your own AC adapter.

5 STARS for working like intended. A low bar, I know, but it can do everything it needs to. I got some Geenie light strips that came in a combo pack with my Google Nest Mini and it was supposed to work 100% with Google Assistant, but it doesn't change as fast as this one, and it doesn't know what white looks like. This controller knows what White looks like, and can go anywhere from 1% - 100% with Google Assistant (and Alexa, I set that up too), unlike the Geenie light strip.Fully compatibility with the light strip I bought off Amazon, Not horrendous looks, and full control with smart home systems earns this product 5 STARS.

The remote works decent enough with the controllerButThe remote does not work with the app. The remote can only turn the controller on or off when it uses some mode that the remote can produce. If using, say, the microphone reactive mode, the remote can't turn it off. And once off, the remote can turn it on, but it won't be the mode it was, it will be a solid color.The product is okay, but i had wanted to use the controller in microphone reactive mode without opening the app.

Los utilice para reemplazar un controlador de tira led RGB con control remoto de IR, y el cambio no fue sencillo, pero al lograrlo el resultado fue mejor de lo esperado.El control remoto funciona sin necesidad de estar apuntando al controlador. Eso valió toda la pena y el esfuerzo del cambio.Ahora puedes cambiar el color de las tiras led desde donde estes (dentro del alcance de RF) y sin necesidad de apuntar al controlador. (En mi caso el controlador esta dentro de una caja hermética a intemperie)

Me encantó que es fácil de instalar y programar.
