We were looking for an alternative to straw nest pads after continually having to throw them away when eggs would break and soak through and ruin them.It took a few days for the chickens to adjust and to start using them. These pads are much firmer than straw. After initially refusing to use them, we placed fake eggs on the new pads and the chickens began to use them within 24 hours.They are easy to clean and can be cut down to size.I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a more long term option for your nest boxes.

Thought I ordered gray but got brown. I prefer the grey/blue for the views with my coop camera but otherwise good. Wash and clean up is easy.

I really like this product! I've been using this type of nesting box liner for several years now and they are the only way to go! Of the different brands of liners I've used, these are the best option, in my opinion. You will have to replace a few of them every few years, depending on how much use they get. These are great for having clean eggs, far more often than using straw/hay in the nesting box. They are very easy to clean and the chickens have no problem laying eggs on them. I spray the liners off with a water hoseto clean them and put them aside to dry. I keep extra liners on hand so when the recently cleaned ones are drying, I have dry clean ones ready to put back in the nesting box.

Quality at a good price. Our chickens adapted to these nest box inserts. They are easy to clean and dry.

Works for our backyard, free range chickens. I placed wood shavings over half of the pads and left the other ones with no shavings. The chickens don’t seem to notice a different and lay the same on both. Worth a purchase!

Product arrived fast, exactly as advertised but.....my chickens won't step in the coop. These are very rigid/stiff and probably don't feel as comfortable as the shavings and pine I swapped them out for. They seem kind of expensive but I guess most things are these days.

The girls love their new beds. Easy fit to my boxes and easy to clean, for the girls have no manners.

Cutting these to make them fit anything not of the original size requires using super-human strength to cut through the titanium-plastic. My hand will require physical therapy after that debacle. I was so proud to finally get them in the nesting boxes, but was immediately met with multiple hen snubs and feathered fussing, followed by the girls laying their eggs in their bath tire. I swear one actually said an expletive in my direction, with total disdain, cackling in mockery as I crouched over and my back reminded me of my age. Good times.These so-called "pads" are super hard, unforgiving, and resemble a bed of spikes; I don't blame the chickens for protesting. I'm pretty sure they never signed up for perching on stabby toothpicks that could give legos a run for their money as "least favorite item to step on. Ever." Bottom line: zero clucks given. Now I'm back on Amazon, ordering artificial turf... Mother clucker.
