Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 360 Degrees 2K White, 2021 Version

Slow and had to change the country to China in order for all functions to work. Plus I regularly receive notifications in Chinese which I have no idea what’s it about. I will consider other brands in the future. But for the time being, it works fine. I get notifications every time it detects a movement or people. So good enough to keep me updated on what's going on in my house, and more importantly it helps a lot during long vacations where I get to monitor my cats and make sure that they are safe and have enough food.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE!!! (24/3/2023)After almost 2 years of using this camera, suddenly it stopped working, I tried to reconnect the camera with the mi app but couldn't and received notifications saying that there was a network issue. It took me hours of intensive googling and I almost gave up.Eventually, I came across a comment on youtube saying that, the solution for network issue is as simple as disabling the dark mode on your phone. I disabled the dark mode on my phone and voila! The camera and the app connected immediately and everything is OK as it was before.Plus, I'm grateful that this issue happened because when I bought this camera I had to use the Chinese version in order to use all functions. So when I redownloaded the app on my phone I decided to stick to the reginal version and when I managed to connect the camera again, it works fine, so no more Chinese notifications which I couldn't understand.I previously gave this camera 3 stars because I was not happy with the instructions and the fact that I'm getting Chinese notifications. However, after the blackout incident and after all the traumas that I have inflicted on this camera the past 2 years (my cat have pushed this camera off its table multiple times and one time it landed in the cat water bowl). I can confidently say that I am very happy with this product and the improvements that the company has done in order to make this product user friendly.

Pros:All features are good; great clarity; night vision is good; turning radius is excellent; App is easy to use.Cons:Speaker volume is very low & there's no way to increase the volume, so two-way talking is difficult as person can’t hear on the camera end.

Overall it is a very good product. Picture quality is fine, even when it is dark. You can control the camera from your phone. The application itself is fine, sometimes however a bit laggy, and gives an unexpected error, but after retry it works fine. Note, that you have to buy a micro SD card (64GB recommended) for this camera to be able to store the video recordings.One downside of the camera is, that it cannot store the videos in cloud storage, however if you have a NAS at home, or you can connect an USB storage to your router, the camera can make backups there. The other thing, what I experienced is, that in home monitoring mode, when you set the camera to record only in case of movement, there is some delay. I tested it by entering the room, and the recording started only 5-10 seconds later.Other then the mentioned two things above I think this is a great product for this price and would recommend it as a basic home security camera.

This is the most important part of this camera.4. The SD Card slot was hidden in an excellent position to avoid theft and bridge of data.5. Easy to install and the App is user friendly.6. Easy to share for several devices.7. Many options to choose for videos and photos that best fit your preference.8. The audio quality and night vision rocks!9. The calling feature amazes me, it’s typically talking in real time without any delay.NEGATIVE SIDE:1. Storage should be more to max more than 64gb2. It can easily be reset by anyone. Doesn’t have enough security on the unit itself. No lock features that once accessed by authorized person, it can never be used by anyone again.OVERALL:I will buy more of this and share my experience with this product to my friends and family. Utterly hopeless product.Records 10 seconds video only.And then there is a compulsory gap of 3 minutes before it records again (again for 10 seconds only)So a thief could open the door just a tad bit do the system starts recording, then wait for 10 seconds, then enter the room and finish his job in the compulsory 3 minutes gap before the next recording starts.The feedback / support in the app does not get you any response from the company.It is good only for remote monitoring, and not good for recording.
