Does its job perfectly, nice design
It's a first item that I bought as "used".The box looked fairly used, but the device itself looked brand new, without any scratches. It even had a protective film on the side of the DP connectors.Connected a Dell laptop on Win10, to 2 HD Dell monitors w/ DP cables. No issues whatsoever.

Works for a HP x360 to Dell 2214 monitor using DP to DP cable but not DP to DVI
Arrived today. I connected it to my HP Spectre X360 laptop and using a DP to DVI connector to a Dell 2214H monitor. The monitor goes into sleep mode. When I manually select the DVI port it says there is no signal from the computer. I suspect this is a "catch 22" because I had a similar issue with a Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI adapter: The monitor has to be on in order for the adapter to detect it but the monitor goes into sleep mode when it doesn't detect a signal.I called Startech support, they said to try a DP to DP connector. I'll order one and try that but I am not hopeful.I will update this review after trying that.** Update: Well, it works with a DP to DP cable, I can now extend my laptop display onto a second monitor. I have a third monitor; I'll order another DP to DP cable and see if it will drive two monitors in addition to the laptop display. Apparently doesn't work with a DP to DVI cable.I'll try it with DP to VGA and DP to HDMI cables and update after trying those.** Update 2: Here's the score:DP to DP and DP to VGA: WorksDP to DVI and DP to HDMI: Doesn't workOverall I'm pleased. It will drive two external monitors plus the laptop monitor. I can only extend to one monitor, the laptop and the other monitor are duplicated. This is probably a limitation of Windows 10 though, not the adapter since it correctly identifies all three monitors.

Maybe i am doing something wrong. UPDATE: Not anymore!!
Maybe i am doing something wrong. If so i will certianly revise my review. As of now, nothing is happening. Alienware 17r3 with thunderbolt 3 port. I got this adapter, plugged it in and my PC has no idea what it is. Yes, i have the latest thunderbolt 3 software. It shows up as Interl USB 3.1 eXtensible host controller. Anyone get this to work?UPDATE: I GOT THIS TO WORK! Thanks to Star Tech. If you have a Alienware 17 r3 you need to make SURE these 4 things are updated.- TI Thunderbolt Power Delivery Firmware Update Utility- Intel Thunderbolt Firmware Update Utility- Dell Alienware 15R2/17R3 System BIOS- Intel Thunderbolt Controller DriverDell support was useless. I called them a few times and a few techs didn't even know what thunderbolt 3 was. Unbelievable. Thank you startech. I have changed my review to 5 stars. My 4k monitor looks amazing!!

it is great having 3 4K screens working side by side
I am able to view 3 screens in 4K @ 59/60 Hz extended desktop mode. Alienware 17R3 with 4K screen, and 2 Dell P2715Q 4K monitors are all working using the StarTech TB32DP2 adapter. The key to making this work was updating my Alienware 17R3 drivers and specifically, Intel's Thunderbolt Controller Driver to the release on 3-16-2016, 15.3.39.250. It took me an e-mail and several calls to StarTech, Dell, and Alienware to confirm everything that needed to be done, but WOW...it is great having 3 4K screens working side by side. I also purchased the Cable Matters 2-pack of Gold Plated DisplayPort cables to connect full DP from each of my monitors back to the StarTech TB32DP2. At around $100 for the adapter and 2 DP cables, the price was right. My desktop is perfect now for editing my color and b/w LED landscape lighting photographs.

LIMITED, NOT FOR ASUS! Returned it because it is completely limited to certain models and chip-sets.
I had to return it because it does not serve for every thunderbolt 3 chipset. I have up to date Asus Rog G752VY, This StarTech.com TB32DP2 Thunderbolt 3 to Dual DisplayPort Adapter does not support dual Display Port capabilities on intel chipset that is on the Rog G752VY, nor the same family models.I have heard that there is another brand with a different chipset supports this, I am going to check with the manufacturer and see if I could get that one apply to ROG G752VY laptop for dual 4k 60hz capabilities. This model adapter tended to work with certain dell, intel boxed pcs and hp models only.

Did not work for us, tried twice
We went through 2 of these and both had issues. Hubby thinks maybe it is software related. Anyway, it never worked consistently so we had to return both. Still looking for an option that will work properly.

Works great for 4k and lower resolution screens, but not with DVI converter cables
Dual DisplayPort model works well with two 4K monitors at 60 Hz.My configuration:HP ZBook G3 17, NVidia M5000MWindows 10 64-bitTwo Dell P2715Q 4K monitors.Note that this device can also handle lower resolution screens a list of which is on the StarTech website.I have some HD (1080) monitors that have DisplayPort inputs and they worked great. I also have some HD (1080) monitors with only DVI inputs. I tried using DisplayPort to DVI cables (Cable Matters 2-Pack, Gold Plated DisplayPort to DVI Cable 6 Feet) with this device, but they did not work. The same cables can be used with the HP Thunderbolt 3 dock (HP P5Q61AA#ABA ZBook 200W Thunderbolt 3 Dock) and they work perfectly. It appears to be a limitation of this device.

If you're technical enough to apply the operating system hack and own a Dual DisplayPort monitor like the, then this is your bes
This adapter does exactly what it describes.I'm currently using it with a 2016 MacBook Pro after modifying the operating system to enable old Thunderbolt 3 devices such as this one. This operation is painless but not for the faint of heart, and needs to be re-applied after every operating system update. Regardless, I've been using the adapter this way for weeks and neither the adapter or my computer is broken yet.If you're technical enough to apply the operating system hack and own a Dual DisplayPort monitor like the Dell Ultra HD 5K Monitor UP2715K 27-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor, then this is your best bet. Alternatively, you can buy two DisplayPort-to-USB-C cables, but that's more expensive and uses up two ports on your laptop.Hopefully StarTech will release this product with new hardware for Apple's laptops soon.
