I bought this for the noise. When reviewing other websites I was looking for an intake system that would provide the loudest turbo spool. I mean, really, why else would you buy diesel. The only issue I would say I had is when attaching the main box to the pipe the holes did not all line up correctly so I had to drill them out larger in order to make them fit, otherwise it was a 20 minute install. I have a 2004 Ram 2500 diesel.

Purchased and installed this for a friend's 2006 Dodge Ram 2500. The item came packaged really well and the dry filter was protected from damage and dust. All of the fasteners were packaged well in a Ziploc bag.The reason why I'm giving this 3 out of 5 stars is because of the poor instructions. It doesn't state where exactly to put the rubber gasket material, as well as using flat washers with the screws that hold the plastic tubing onto the inside of the metal box. Also, it doesn't tell you which rubber coupler is the high temp one. And lastly, the direction of the main S-pipe.

Quite a bit of turbo whine can be heard after installing this intake.It's okay most of the time but can get old on long drives.

This is a decent air intake, I hated the factory baffles in the original air box tubing and wanted to let the truck breath more. Definitely feel a improvement in the throttle and not a overly loud turbo whine with factory turbo, I can see it getting loud if you are towing. The install is pretty straight forward, if you are the slightest mechanically enclosed you can install it. I’m no ASE mechanic but install took about 20 minutes and without any hiccups. Overall I am happy with the purchase.
