Classic sounds recreated
My original TR-606 died in the 90's and Behringer's clone is virtually identical sounding and looking and in operation. It also addionally has a clap sound, MIDI, individual outputs for all of the sounds and a distortion circuit that the original lacked. Very easy to operate....only in song mode are you likely to need to refer to the manual. 16 step patterns and 32 pattern memories are the same as the original but stingy by today's standards. Another opportunity missed was to make the accenting global like the original rather than the more modern per step...and it would have been great to have had instrument tuning and decay...maybe in a future firmware update Behringer...or is it done already and I've missed it? Great sounds, great value, so easy to use....I have two!!!

freaking awesome
This could be a bog standard, basic 80s drum machine. Then you turn the Distortion knob and it goes epic. Great little box - works well with a Crave.

Some people hate Behringer kit
I don't, I understand what Behringer are doing, making music more attainable.Once you get your head around how to program this and maybe the TD-3 you can spend all day twiddling your knobs. I have and I've eaten a sandwich at the same time.Ultimately if you want to spend hundreds for the same kind of machine, carry on, I'll be smiling because my kit was cheaper.

Easy to use Drum Machine
This is a simple, easy to use drum machine that integrates well via midi. I use it with my sequencer and other synths to create electronic soundtracks. The individual levels for each instrument makes it very easy to initially start with only the kick drum then fade in hi hats and other sounds as required. The bright yellow finish looks cool as well :)

Overpriced Infants Toy.
I have bought some jank kit in my time (much of it also by Beheringer), but if something is cheap, works, and just does something, then i can usually find a place for it in my mess of a studio. But this is so bad that i might have no choice but to return it..This has ONE lot of drum sounds, which are at least crisp. And the fact that they each have their own outputs (so that you can treat each sound separately) is a nod to much more serious equipment. Though at this price point, that is a bit of a farce when each sound already has it's own dedicated onboard volume control. But apart from the volume there is just no way to alter each sound. A synth at this price would have cutoff and filter etc. This has one lot of sounds, and volume. Yes, you could spend more money on a mixer, feed each of these sounds into that, buy a few effects units and connect them to the mixers auxs sends to treat these sounds. But by then you have spent at least three times the price of this and may as well have just bought a better drum machine to start with..But more than anything else, once you hold this in your hands, you will know that it should be filed under ''children's toys''. It looks and feels even cheaper (MUCH cheaper) in quality than anything at even this price point should..I have a ton of other Beheringer kit, and none of it has ever made me feel this level of deceived and ripped off before. In short, AVOID!.
