I had this model for many years and when it finally died after constant use and abuse to carry groceries home in the desert heat, I was happy to see they still make them. I read all the reviews that gave low marks and found it was because the item arrived damaged, not because of any failing of the product itself (mine arrived quickly and undamaged). I wanted to buy this Made in Canada cooler because it was so durable for so many years (5? 6?) and because it has so many useful features:*long cord (my 12 volt outlet in the back of my old SUV no longer works, but this cord reaches all the way to the front! Hurrah!*roomy interior*Adjustable divider that becomes a shelf when you use this cooler vertically, as a fridge*tight fitting lid (now with a strong magnetic catch ~ wonderful!)*now with more room in the interior because of a nice concave lid to accommodates even more food (tall enough to fit a full grocery sack or two)*the capability to HEAT or COOL your food (plug the cord in with the BLUE arrow pointing at the DOT for COLD, or the RED arrow pointing at the DOT for HOT and it will keep restaurant food or a rotisserie chicken hot on the way home or keep a casserole hot on the way to a potluck).Good useful features.You can buy a cord separately for an extra $35 that allows this cooler to be plugged into a regular 110 outlet. When I drive up to a friends cabin the cooler keeps food cool while pugged into the 12 volt in the car on the way there and back, when I am at the cabin I can switch cords and plug it into the 110 wall outlet to use it as a fridge: Perfect! While plugged into the cars 12 volt it will not freeze your food and it will *not* keep it icy cold. It does keep your food cold as you travel but does not run when the car is off (or it would drain the cars battery). I find it is best to bring a few ice packs (paperback novel size) to help it along and to have it plugged in on my way into town so that when I add groceries it is already cold.This is a game changer for me as I do not need to plan my trips to town around groceries, instead I can get groceries first then do other shopping or appointments if need be and not worry about my food spoiling! I have not used it for camping, but I would imagine that a solar charged battery would be necessary if one is camping in one place without power. This is best suited for when you need to keep items cool (I'm talking to you, Truckers!) while you travel, for folks who like to fish and want to keep their catch cold on the way home, or for a quick jaunt into town when you don't want to have to arrange to make groceries your last stop. It is excellent on a hot day and is nice to use all winter so I can blast the heat in the cab of the car for the kids and not worry that the heater is warming my groceries! I was happy with my first purchase of this model years and years ago, I look forward to many years of use from this new and improved Canadian Made item as well. B of New Mexico

I have owned several Koolatron Crusader 52qt coolers in the past. They all were great dependable coolers. I bought this smaller version and it's junk absolute junk. It doesn't cool at all the fans run but there's no cooling going on. The temp is the same outside the cooler as it is inside. What a disappointment. Koolatron isn't worth the higher price anymore. Save your money and buy a Coleman or an Igloo.

Been on the boat for a year now. Works great for sandwiches and drinks and items you don’t want soaked.

I love my cooler! I use it for grocery pickups so I don’t worry about hurrying home! I use it for vacations and day trips! I’ve used the heating setting and that works great too♥️

The Cooler arrived damaged. The packaging of this item was absolutely terrible. The box was falling apart and the corners where ripped and pulling away from the box. The hindges on one side of the cooler lid where pulling out of the body of the cooler. It also did not come with the electrical end for the 12v car hookup. Overall not satisfied, but they are sending a replacement for this one I just hope that this is not a bad sign on this cooler right from the get go.

I have found this electric cooler great ,no ice required, very quite and keeps drinks very cold. So easy to use. GREAT FOR ENTERTAINING.NANCY

This worked okay for a long trip from GA to AZ but was not awesome.It kept the drinks and food semi cold but I had to add in a few frozen drink bottles to help it in the summer heat.I only used it for the one long trip back and forth but the screws on the lid on one side were already starting to come off. I re-tightened them but I can tell that they are almost stripped out already.It is fairly spacious for a lot of stuff but the best trick to helping this thing keep cold is adding two or three small bottles with frozen water from your freezer before your trip.Not sure this is worth the price and there maybe other options slightly better.

What a nightmare. Koolatron is in disarray. Apparently, it is a common situation where the coolers arrive without the power cord. Trying to get through to “customer support” is an arduous, time-consuming, unproductive exercise in futility. They seem unconcerned with your ability to use their product, taking their sweet time in addressing any issue.I wish I could actually review the performance of their product, but they make that impossible through what looks like a habit of not shipping critical parts.I’ll be buying an Igloo cooler right after I return the Koolatron I cannot use.

Ne répond pas au critère de 22 degrés de différence avec la température ambiante, seulement 15 degrés après 3 jours connecté. Et que dire de la finition, de la m e r d e ... l'uréthane ressort par les fentes, couvercle déformé. Ce n'est même pas compréhensible d'avoir pris la peine d'emballer et de l'avoir expédié à un client, ils auraient dû le mettre directement dans le conteneur à vidange, meilleur place pour cet article, ils auraient économisé 2 fois les coûts de livraison...

Glacière utilisée ds mon camion à l’abris du soleil , a bien fonctionné pendant presque 2 mois, et soudainement le côté réfrigérant ne fonctionne plus , est possible de me rembourser les plus de 300.00 $ que j’ai payé SVP ? Robert Plante
