The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a fireplace that would take up as much of my wall as possible. I needed it to make a big statement as soon as a guest walked into my living room. After hours of searching on Amazon, I found this one to be the perfect size for my vision.I added some stone wallpaper to it to make it more interesting and to better match my aesthetic. And I opted out of the faux fire insert that was made for it. I found a different one that I think looks more realistic.The shelves gave me the freedom to accessorize with picture frames, books, and candles.Every one of my house guests has given me compliments about it.It comes in several pieces so it was a little tedious to assemble, but the instructions were clear enough, so you just need to be patient with yourself when putting it together.

Love this fireplace!!! I’m not gonna lie, it took me an entire day to build this fireplace and at one point, I did need assistance turning the entire piece upright. Instructions were good, no missing parts, and packaged well. It looks great….like it’s been in our house forever. We added a peel and stick brick interior to the inside of the fireplace, as well as a candelabra, and caulked it to the wall. Turned out great!! Love it! Good quality. GREAT VALUE!! Highly recommended!

I love it, the assembly was quite a challenge, my fireplace insert fit perfectly, I decide not to bolt against the wall to access the plugs for my other devices. Overall I love it!! My home is cozy

The only reason for the 4 stars is because of how difficult this was to put together. I added my own DIY touch with peel/stick tiles and led candles vs the insert

It comes with way too many pieces and hardware!! It will take my handyman all day to put it together. Be prepared!

This freestanding fireplace ( No insert) is very nice, sturdy came with everything I needed, total 70" L x 45 " tall x 25" deep nice espresso finish. Some scraping exposed a gray material on some of the trim pieces which makes me think molded plastic BUT! touched up nicely, and I kinda like that fact actually think it would have been even better if the whole thing was as solid as those parts. One shelf split a little but nothing glue and clamps didn't fix. Lay parts out following the instructions and pay attention to the details how each piece looks in diagrams, what direction the piece is , where the holes are . Should go together nicely. I used a stack of flat boxes to help support side shelving units when connecting main units together. I'm 62 and arthritic and got it together and up in my setting are in two days someone younger could probably manage it in a few hours.

As you can see in the picture, I had a huge ugly wall with a built-in gas fireplace. I was and still am delighted that I came across this mantelpiece. Even though the fireplace is recessed, it still works. It holds just enough books and ornaments and I'm looking forward to hanging Christmas stockings off it. There's a lot of pieces but it went together in a reasonable time, I think someone said it took them two hours, not so for me. It took a bit longer but I didn't rush it and I was able to do it by myself. I eventually put red flowers in the opening and covered it with a piece of plexiglass mounted on the inside to keep my cats out. They wouldn't stop playing with the metal mesh screen on the fireplace. I haven't mounted it to my wall since it's against apartment regulations so instead, I have a wooden carpet molding under the front which leans it back to avoid tip-overs. I don't have small children to worry about. But this also always me to remove the flowers and plexiglass if I do need to use the fireplace. Lots of possibilities with this mantelpiece.
