Great Device
Amazingly clear quality.Stereo-typically, for head-units, the smaller the screen the worse the parts and quality. That is not the case with this. It's pretty much intuitive for modern tech users (teenagers, moderate tech savy adults)For others, there's a manual :)Fortunately for my current parking situation both at work and home, this isn't as needed, but back in the day...This would have been god-sent to record while parked. You can get this professionally installed to set near your existing rear-view camera, in place of one if you don't have it.There are other 'bootleg' techniques that you can do to mount the rear-view camera in your preferred place. Meaning, that if you preferred it'd be on the side of the car etc you can do that.Thinking out-side of the box, you can use this in the house outside of a window etc as a movement recorder. It does not have to be used in a vehicle. I would not recommend attempting to use this as a rear-view camera replacement for parking, with the provided screen, unless you have 20/20.But can take this camera and use on a 3rd party head-unit for that purpose

Didn't last
Lasted maybe year and a half if that. Vehicle not driven often and camera removed from window if car sat in sun. Started out with constant reboots when cold out then just constantly reboots. The 10 dollar camera had before lasted as long.

Nifty little view to the rear of my vehicle.
When I opened this I was surprised because it is smaller than I was thinking it would be. However, the picture quality is very very good so even thou it is small I can easily get a clear picture of what is behind my vehicle which is what I wanted it for. I have gotten use to the rear camera view in my newer vehicles but I have an older Jeep Grand Cherokee that didn't have one. (It does now!) The hard part was where to mount the rear camera. I eventually settled on the license plate light lens as the perfect spot. I removed the mounting bracket from the camera and re-bent it to just the right angle and then re-attached it to the camera and then to the vehicle using the original lens screw. The wiring was easy to conceal by slipping it under molding almost all the way to the front. I was just about 6 or 8 inches short so I used a short piece of 1/8" mini stereo wire which I had in my stash to get me the rest of the way. The end result is a nifty little view of the rear of my vehicle. It will also work very well to keep an eye on my load when towing my trailer. I set the camera to "rear camera view" in settings so I don't have to tie into the backup light wiring on anything.

Okay at $40
Battery was dead on arrival. Ignored that since I hard wired it. Screen went dead after 6 months. Kept recording so I was fine with it. Camera just totally died today and won’t record. Almost exactly one year after purchase. I’d buy at the current price of $40 but I paid $70. Certainly wouldn’t again.
