This was a replacement mic for my son-in-law. We don't use cb's that much these days but when we're running ridges out here in the great Pacific Northwest we like to stay in touch with one another and quite often there's no cell coverage. This mic does the trick for his radio. His old one broke or otherwise quit working so I bought this one for him as a "gift". It's doing the job. This new Roadpro brand Astatic is way louder than the original Astatic 636L made in Ohio the impedance has been modified from 200ohms to 400ohms and the audio circut of my Galaxy AM/SSB radio really responded well with this unit on it. The rubberized coating over the plastic housing has a amazing feel and grip in the palm of your hand and it's SSB clarity was better than the Ranger sra-198 in my application.

Clear mic that fixed my cb radio from not transmitting. Not to mention it’s good quality good looking and feels great in your hand. Will test durability but last one I had last a long time. I also like the spring on the mic to keep it from kinking Will buy again.

Little louder than a my ranger and road king on the talk back because I had to cut the dial back to eliminate squeal. The rubber feels a lot better than plastic. Cord is just the right length for a gear keeper. Paired with a Stryker 655.

It said to rate this and I bout one of those, but didn't, so I wouldn't know how well this works.

This has been a great mic so far. I’m glad I purchased it. High quality. No complaints.

Works as described. After years of buying RK 56 mics, only to have the cords break after a short time I decided to try this. It works as good as the RK, and the cord seems to be more durable.I’m more than satisfied.
