Pricey but nice.
Good features:Two knobs included, one each silver and black. Wire lead quality is good, adequate length and with insulation that feels like silicone. Pictorial wiring instructions easy to follow, (schematic style should also be include for us old electricians and others who prefer schematics.)Knob turns smoothly and easily (if you don't push it on the splined shaft too far when mounted through a thicker panel). LED ramps up smoothly from dim to full brightness. (Note that there may be a threshold voltage where the knob moves a bit before the LED turns on dim - this is a function of the LED rather than the dimmer.)It comes in a presentation grade little box with magnetic closure. Save the packaging frills and reduce the price 20% or so. In the interest of full disclosure, if I needed another, I'd buy it again .

Highly recommended.
I had written a bad review on this product and I was wrong. I was trying to dim my lights through the positive wire with a common ground. After receiving an email from Oznium I went back and rewired with an isolated ground and it worked great. I have had this same type unit in my car for a couple years now but broke it trying to remove. It worked great, that’s why I went back to it. Highly recommended.

Make sure it's compatible with your Lights
I had high hopes, but my auxiliary lights didn't work well with this switch. The switch performed as expected, but the lights would only provide a little adjustment, and were very touchy.Mounting the dimmer switch is simple - just drill a hole. The wiring is a little touchier. I wish this switch had blades on the back instead of flying leads. The flying leads need to be soldered or crimped into another connector. With only ~7" of wire, theses aren't getting directly wired to anything else, so you need to have wired and connectors ready.

Looks great in the boat
I installed this for some LED strip lights I put in my boat. I use it in conjunction with an on/off switch. This switch does turn all the way to off, but I was somehwat concerned that it may still draw a little current in the off position so I left the main power switch in linem, hence i used the additional switch. The finish is great, it is really easy to install, and it came with both a black and silver knob so you can make it match the rest of your switches! Love how smoothly it adjusts the LED's. I would totally get another if I ever needed one.

Works ok, but cheaply constructed and over priced.
Seems to work ok, but they are pretty cheaply made, especially for $24.99...so I would say they are overpriced. I ordered three of these, and the first one I installed broke immediately after installation. In order to actually mount the dimmer behind a surface, you have to take the decorative knob off to fit it through the hole you drill. The knobs just pull off and the stem (that is the actual dimmer control) is all plastic, including the the threaded portion that you attach to. Once I got it mounted and locked in place with the retaining nut, I went to put the knob back on the stem. Due to the force required to push the knob back on, the stem just broke loose from the plastic threads. If that part were metal or stronger some how, or the knob didn't require as much force, it would probably have been ok. I think the pressure of trying to install the knob back on the stem forced it to fail at the joint where the threaded portion is held on by the nut. The dimmer still worked, but the threads were broken off, leaving the dimmer unit now unattached, and no real way to reattach it.Fortunately I had bought extras, so I was able to just use another one, and this time I didn't bother trying to put the decorative knob back on for fear of the second one breaking.

Noisy!
The media could not be loaded. Hooked up to a 12v Led reading light - there is an annoying harsh buzz from the light when dimmed. - seems about 100 Hz. Don't know if they all do this or it is defective. But, it does dim the light.

Works perfectly
I bought this to dim the LED deck lights on out on my bass boat. Before they was a little to bright, but this little dimmer brings them down to where I wanted the brightness to be.I wired off and existing switch, so I can be sure when. It in use, they lights aren’t consuming power. Also when my compartment lights are on, the deck lights don’t have to be.

This is a great dimmer for controlling map light LEDs
This is a great dimmer for controlling map light LEDs. The dimmer switch is very tactile and has a distinct off/on click with a proper duty cycle from 0-100%.The only drawback, from which I deduct a star is the plastic screw base for the set screw is flimsy. Trying to tighten it down, it stripped the plastic threads and is now loose. It should be made of metal.

Quality feel
Nice construction. Knob clicks on or off. Nice rotational feel on dimmer. Comes with black and silver knobs. Replaced 16 incandescent lights with 16 LEDs in car dashboard.

It didn't work - had to return
The media could not be loaded. We followed the instructions carefully. We used quality, dimmable lights. We tested with different power sources, polarity and different lights. Could not get it to work. Really wanted it to. The reviews sounded great. If we are at fault, happy to review the review.
