Perfect upgrade to replace old style heavy starter. I put this on my 1978 OMC 240h Ford 351. Lighter and easier to install than the old heavy one. Spins the engine over quickly, easy starting, and Coast Guard approved.

Too good to be true. It’s junk
I purchased this for my 351w. It worked starting the engine 4 times. It sat being winterized and failed not engaging. Called customer service for warranty and no go. Not even a one year warranty. I through away 59$. The starter is junk andNot reliable. It never got wet or used in the water, failing while in winterized. SpendThe money and buy a Arco or Sierra starter.

Works great, but make sure you get longer bolts!!
The flange is thicker on this starter and you will need longer bolts otherwise you will pull the threads out of your bell housing. Starter works after being installed with longer bolts.
