Affordable tool to tie rebar
This handy tool makes thing up rebar a breeze. You could buy a battery powered unit that fits the same thing but you'll be downshift soda money in one and honestly how often are you going to use it? This little tool is good enough for small projects which is what I used it for to tie up metal mesh form to pour concrete over. To use the tool, you simply attach your tie wire to the hook and pull on the tool handle and it will rotate the hook, thus twisting and tying the wire. It's simple and effective without spending tons of money.

No good hook came off the first time we used it.
Threads pulled out the first time we used it looks like the hole in the casting on the hook was too large not allowing the tap to thread the hole correctly.

Broke first day of use
We use ties around bolts to keep nuts from coming off during shipment and thought this would be quicker to twist the ties. Within the first 20 ties the tool broke and would not ratchet. Now I have 2 guys to share one tool. At this point the hand twist tool we have is better even though you bust your knuckles using it.

Got thur 900 wire ties before it pulled apart.

Functions marginally
It was possible to get the spring to wind up every once in a while, but mostly it did not, and one had to turn it as if there was no spring. Not so very impressive.

One came broken.
One came broken. They use plastic threads, which aren't strong enough for the work. We couldn't stop work to return, so we just used one.
