Stainless Stainless parts. Built well. Concerned about the assembled pole. It may bend with excess pressure. I didn't install one section of pole to maintain rigidity of the connected sections. Even with one section of pole not connected, still long enough as I am 6 foot tall. So far so good. In addition, it came with the tools needed to assemble the poles to the base. Cool.

After I figured out exactly how to use it! (User error) I love it and wish that I got it sooner!! It has been perfect for getting my yard level.

The rake bends where the handle meets the leveling head. They should have used a heavier gauge material there. It’s fine for a couple of uses but it won’t last especially long.

I had a large area of fill dirt from a swimming pool excavation to level and prep for seed. Much to my surprise this lawn leveler takes off the high soil and deposits it in the low areas. With a little scrubbing, you can remove excess soil even on hard packed soil. It also works well to feather soil out I to where it meets existing grass.I ordered the one with the longer handle and glad I did as it helps in large areas. If you don't need the full handle, you can take sections out.It is made out of aluminum and will last as it is not toy.UPDATE: Since my original product review, two sections of the aluminum handle broke during use. I was able to remove the broken sections in the middle of the handle and finished the project, but I would like to get replacement sections under warranty.

I was a little concerned about a few reviews that sad the handle broke and the rake flips over. I was concerned that the three section handle would be weak at the joints. Turns out that flipping was not an issue at all and the handle is very sturdy. The sections came slightly loose a few times but not enough to make the handle weak - just tightened them back up (about a quarter turn) as soon as they got loose.The only complaint I would have is the cheap foam handle and the other three black foam sleeves (not sure what they are for) but I just took them off as they are not really needed.Does a great job of leveling once you get the hang of using the tool.Highly recommended.

The connection between the handle and place long pad is very thin and weak. It bends out of place very easily and the more it gets moved, the more durability it losses. I will have to do some kind of mod to get it stronger.

My back yard is 1,300 SF and I purchased this to help spread out about 6,000 LBS of Sand. When I first put this thing together I thought the handle would break but this leveling rake is great for smaller jobs like mine and held up very well. The only reason I did not give it 5-stars was because the handle was not very sturdy but it definitely helped with my project
