Quality 4th Grader Work Book !!
Nice topics to work upon by a 4th grader. English/Math/Science is covered and importantly kids can work independently. I had bought 3rd and 4th grade level books and both are rich in content and engage the kids to work in free time.Would recommend for parents having kids

Pricey but a good variety of skills
I use these types of books as bridge products during the summer to help my kids stay on top of what they've learned and give me a daily chance to read my own book while they're working. This is a nicely sized book with strong binding. The font is sized to be easy to read and there is enough pictures and decorations to keep their attention without causing them to get distracted. My daughter is in 3rd going into 4th and it seems to be about right for her level. She has enjoyed working on it even though officially school has two more days left . . . it has a wide variety of skills and topics so she can choose to work her way straight through or jump around depending on how she feels. There are some fun things like word searches, but not so much that it is a play book.I do find the price for this to be on the high side . . . we normally don't spend this much (current price is $25).

Came without color
Description reads Colorful Book. Which it was not. It came greyscale. Good size, seems like plenty to do. I think its still a little too advanced for my 3rd grader going to 4th grade. Feels like a lot going on on some pages.

Great for additional practice
This book is great to have around the home for many different scenarios. You can use this as additional practice of materials that are being learned at school, to keep information fresh during summer or other extended breaks or to challenge children that need something a little more difficult than what they are working on in school. I think this book has a large variety of activities and lessons. I like that there is an easy to read table of contents at the beginning of the book so you can easily find the type of activity you want to do. The book is broken down into English, Math and Science. I find the book to be plenty colorful with kid friendly illustrations throughout. The only suggestion I would have about the color would be to have each subject have a different color strip on the bottom of the page, because that may make it easier to flip to the correct section quickly. However. the pages are numbered, so if you look at the table of contents first you will know where to go. There is a little write up before each new topic that tells you a little bit about what the following questions will be on. This is more of a supplemental workbook, however, so it will not go into great detail to teach the children a new concept. I do like that the answer key in the back of the book will often give explanations of the answer as well to further help with understanding. I also like that this book has some pretty easy to complete activities and some more difficult activities that really make you think. I also like that most of the spots that require written answers actually give the children enough room to write. As mentioned before, the answer key in the back of the book does a good job with explanations, but it can be difficult to locate the correct section when you flip back there. They are labeled clearly with the name of the activity, but I think page numbers next to that would be super helpful.Overall, this is a great activity book for children. It has a lot of material, but is not an overly large book that is hard to tote around. It is bright and colorful with clear and easy to read writing. It has a large variety of activities and doesn't shy away from giving kids a little challenge. I am happy to have added this book to our collection.

Tons of Great Learning Inside!!
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a summer workbook for our daughter who will be going into 4th grade this fall. I wanted something that wasn’t too advanced, but that she could continue her learning over the summer and be well-prepped before entering 4th grade. This book has a lot of great activities and learning topics inside. There are 299 pages of learning along with a very detailed answer key including explanations of how each answer is found. This is VERY HELPFUL for parents/caregivers!The English section features topics like Language, Reading: Literature, Reading: Informational Text, and Writing. The Math section features topics like Factors and Multiples, Multi-Digit Numbers, Representation of Numbers, Decimal Numbers, Fractions, Measurements, Data, and Geometry. The Science section features topics like Physical Science, as well as Life & Earth Sciences.I love the diverse illustrations as well as the fun DIY activities that help keep our children engaged and having fun while learning!
