Did the job for my ps5

Works for PS5, BUT....!
As with most people looking to purchase this product, it enables the PlayStation 5 to work with gaming montiors that are capable of outputting 120Hz at 1080p.The PS5 in only capable of outputting 60Hz at 1080p by default. 120Hz is possible only when connecting to a 4K 120Hz capable monitor/TV using HDMI 2.1, which is relatively new and expensive. Hence why people are looking to use this product for their gaming monitors that they already have (like my Alienware 2518HF).Firstly, I have no idea why PlaySation have not enabled this out-of-the-box or not yet brought out an update to provide this functionality. But let's put that aside, for now. Those looking to hook this up with their Elgato streaming software, please remember the Elgato HD60 (and HD60s) only works at 60fps so the emulator will not work for this set-up.Now, using it as intended with the PS5 (connecting the emulator into the back of the PS5 and running the HDMI cable from the emulator to your TV/Monitor as standard) - Works.BUT...After just 5 minutes of use, it gets EXTREMELY hot. I am just about able to touch it for 2 seconds before it starts to burn my hand. I don't want to think what possible damage this could be doing to the console.I haven't seen many reviews mention this at all, which makes me think others have put it in and simply forgot about it - something I was going to do, if it wasn't for having to re-arrange my desk when I noticed the heat from this thing! So if you've already got this and it works fine, please do have a check on the temp. this thing gives off - hopefully reading this may avoid some broken consoles (and dreams)! It's because of this, I am not willing to take the risk of continuing to use this. I will return. Why pay £350+ and wait all this time to get your hands on a new console for you to damage it with this $20 risk!?Does the job, but not safely.Update: the PlayStation 5 now allows 120hz @ 1080p so there is no longer a need for this product for this specific purpose.

WARNING: Does NOT support 4K 60Hz RGB - only YCbCr4:2:0
The product is smart, well made and small. It does work, but not at the spec given in the product description. Given that the listing states this supports RGB (not just YCbCr) and 4K@60Hz, I assumed it would support both together - it does not.Despite choosing the 4K option, the default resolution this device reports is in fact 1080p.There is also NO HDCP passthrough on this device, which I suspect will also make it less useful for many people. In short, it works and will probably do the job for some people that don't care/notice the deficiency at first glance, but it does NOT work the way it's advertised.

I got this to use with SkyQ
I've been having HDCP handshaking issues between my SkyQ box and Hisense TV recently and figured I'd try this emulator. For my set up it appears to work - I have my SkyQ box plugged into a HDMI over Cat5e sender with HDMI loop out.I have this emulator plugged into the local loop out of my HDMI sender and the EDID sender switched to the loop out position.I've found plugging this emulator into the back of the SkyQ box and into the input of my HDMI sender then the SkyQ box throws up a HDCP error

1080p 120hz PS5. Lovely.
PS5 120fps activated.Did exactly what I wanted it to do.FYI your monitor/tv must able to actually work at 120fps. My monitor is 1080p 144hz so it’s capable, you’d want to make sure too.If using for ps5 what you will want to do is go to settings, and have the resolution option highlighted. Then remove your HDMI attach this. Reconnect. Nothing will come up. You will need to press the buttons on your pad as in the background you need to imagine you are changing resolution to 1080p then you will see an image.Plenty YouTube videos out there for 1080p PS5 120hz.

This product will not work with fire TV stick
I bought it for my fire 4k TV stick connnected to my 1440p monitor S2721dgf. The monitor receives 4k signal but for some reason, it doesn't work with fire tv 4k stick and the display is blank. It works with my xbox series x and my monitor displays 4k 60Hz resolution. Games seems to play with no issues. Had issues watching movies and shows in apple tv app. If you are using it just for games, it is worth it but there are sync and quality issues for movies.
