These seem to be sturdier than the baskets that come with the motors originally. Good replacement, fits like a glove and I think it is better than Hayward.

Well, if you're here - then you're probably looking for a Hayward SPX1600M basket... and if that's the case, you'll be happy to know that this is definitely not a picnic basket. There's not really a LOT to say... it fits. The original basket broke along a seam, and I ran it for quite a while cracked... until it completely broke. This one, if it lasts a few years, then it will be at least as good as stock basket, and God willing - it'll catch a lot of leaves that sneak past the skimmer basket until that point.Oh, and it's blue - and who doesn't like blue baskets?
