We bought this primarily for an extra bed for the grandchildren, but it is certainly large enough and sturdy enough for an adult. The ottoman is quite roomy and very attractive. Once it is opened up into a bed, it's a perfect extra bed for anybody. Even our dog wanted to jump up on it, though we kept her off. It's not difficult to open up or to close up, so I was quite pleasantly surprised at how happy I am with it. It's pricier than most of the competition, but you are getting a higher-quality product.

I bought this with a thick, twin sized mattress topper for extra sleeping space and while it's comfortable, it's more plastic covered or vinyl and not at all leather as the description repeatedly says. It's comfortable but looks very cheap. I retuned it.

So I loved this ottoman when it first showed. No assembly needed which was great. I only used it to rest my feet on. Never used it as a bed. However, less than a month of owning it...a hinge snapped off. This happened without even opening it. I went to put my feet up and the whole corner dropped. Cheap product or I really have some heavy feet.

I needed a bed for when I have company but with only one spare room, I did not want a full-time guest room that would only see use about 12 days a year. I both two Lg versions of these and use them side by side to create a king bed for guests that travel as a couple or just one as a twin bed for my solo guests. I love the versatility of these pieces and they look like a couch in my office when folded up into "chair" position. I am very happy with them. The seat is a bit firm but I prefer firm.
