Do i need Pokemon plus ball with this?

No you do not. You connect it the same way as the poke ball plus. But do not need the actual ball.

The instructions are not clear. Manual catching works fine, but how do I turn auto catch on?

For you to turn on auto catch its the second option then hold the button down for a second for it to give you a check mark in the box then your good to go

No iOS update tool renders useless device

Works for the most part but since PGO updated it no longer auto catches and there isn’t an update tool for iOS users yet

Well worth the money!!

I LOVE this thing!! It brings a whole new element to the game! I could never catch and spin what my gotcha does. Is it sometimes a pain to connect? Majorly. Do I wish it used more than the red pokeballs? Yeah. Does it have a high flee rate? Oh yeah!! Does the usefulness of using it when I want to be lazy, the new platinum medals I now have, the ever-increasing stardust and the surprise shinies out weigh those things? Without a doubt!! I'm so glad to have it! I do recommend getting something besides the bracelet to hold it though (one alternative is pictured) as mine popped out of the bracelet on day 3 and it's wayyy too small to have to look for all the time.

Too much money for something that doesn't do much

I bought this expecting it to help me especially during an event but this think disconnects a lot, will only use regular pokeballs. The majority of the time it would buzz on my wrist only to not catch anything. So I returned it.
