Neat little MCs
I didn't want to waste a full Arduino on a project with just a couple inputs. These things are great.

Tested the first one, it worked.
Tested this out setting up and programing with a Nano. The blink sketch worked well.I found the IC Sockets to be useless on a breadboard. The pins are very flimsy and pulls out with the chip so nonfunctional for this application. Maybe OK when soldering to a proto board. Iwas not looking for these yet anyway. The chips are in shortage elsewhere so was glad to get these. I may order some more.plh

Easy to Program with Arduino IDE
Has built-in lights so the blink sketch works without removing it from the programmer and you don't need to attach anything.

The Devil is in the Details
I followed the same sparkfun tutorial that everyone else in this review section did. When I went to upload the blink program that comes with the arduino IDE, I had to replace ONBOARD_LED with 0 in the pinMode() portion of the code because that's the I/O for the LED on this board. If you are getting a nice red message telling you "a programmer is required" even though you have set everything up correctly, the problem is the IDE, not you. Instead of clicking the upload button, you need to instead go to Sketch\Upload Using Programmer. Technically it's supposed to do that automatically when using a programmer, but for this board it doesn't do that.

Works
I was able to follow instructions from another site to get this to work.

Difficult Product
I could not get the device to work after installing drivers and trying to troubleshoot it for a couple of hours. It's not a plug and play device to start with either. Maybe mine was just defective.

Could not get it to work
Although it looks similar to the Sparkfun version, I had great difficulty get a driver to recognize it and no luck getting it to work with the Arduino IDE. There is zero technical support from the vendor. I finally gave up, returned it and bought the Sparkfun version. Using their excellent tutorial I had it up and running in a matter of minutes.

All the pins were bent or broken
Every single chip has all its pins bent and some are broken. The packaging is terrible
