Direct replacement for our boat
This table base was a direct replacement on our boat. The original pedestal had a cracked weld and made the table wobbly. This one was easy to install and made our galley table sturdy again.

Very sturdy, very well built
Very sturdy, very well built, this will last a long time. So much better than what came in my camper (and broke).I asked a question about shortening it on amazon and I contacted the manufacturer who said they don't recommend cutting it. I did cut the upper section ('bottom' of the inner tube) no problem, I removed 2". The outer tube could also be shortened (the top of the outer tube). If you remove more than an inch you'll also have to re-drill the hole where the lock bolt goes through. I see no way that shortening it would impact the strength - other than make it stronger since there would be less leverage. The finished surfaces are very well polished and if you shorten it take care to remove burrs or they could scratch polished surfaces.

The seller does not deserve your business, but the product is definitely worth its price
I think this may be the first time I am uploading images for a product review. I am only doing it, so future buyers will perhaps be able to visualize what other reviewers before me have tried to communicate and I didn't understand. Of course, this information should really have been provided by the seller and if the product was not of such excellent quality, I would certainly not bother.Unless you are planning to use the table as a replacement for an existing one and have the necessary 'below deck space" (about 6") you will have to alter it. Thankfully, I have a colleague who works in a metal shop cut the bottom off for me. I think it was by 15 cm, if I remember correctly. Image 1 is how it would be installed if you can go 6" into the floor and image 2 shows the original dimensions upside down (sorry, I accidentally cut the top off). Image 3 shows the cut, again downside up and Image 4 the table, unextended, 15" high, right side up, with the cut end touching the floor.. I can still safely increase the height by more than 10", when I want to but at the lowest setting (image 4), which is the height of the bed of which the table is a part, it sits firmly in the socket. The knob is easy to manipulate and the attached bolt hold the height at any level very solid. My table top is a 1" solid maple Gladiator work bench top, 20x27". Overall, very happy with my purchase, but more than a little annoyed that the seller didn't at least upload the drawing, which was was included in the shipment.

Inaccurate Measurements From Manufacturer
The measurements for this product say extends from 14.5" - 29", even from the manufacturer. It was crucial for my RV dinette/bed that this pedastal lowered to 14.5". Even in its most collapsed state, it measures closer to 15.5" from floor to bottom of table. To get the pedastal to drop down to its lowest hieght, I'll have to cut about 4 inches off the extension portion. It takes some careful modification to make this thing drop anywhere close to 14.5"'and even then, it won't quite be enough for my needs. Now i have to dedicate even more time and money to raise my seats to allow my table to convert to a bed. A huge upset, and a an inaccurate measurement from the manufacturer.I included pictures to show the inaccuracy of the description. Base to base of the pedastal is 15". There's also 6" of excess post, meaning this will not lower to 14.5". It will lower to 20.5". That's a huge error.

Great table leg; you have to drill a hole to get 15 inches.
[Warning] You have to drill the floor to make these legs go down to 15 inches. You have to have 6 inches of clearance underneath. You may get away with shortening the lower extrusions somehow, but I'm not sure it will work. You will then have a range of 15-29 inches. But to get a whole range, you need to drill a hole.I used two of these legs to make a table on a sailboat that converts the L-seat into a double bed. It works as a charm. Very strong and sturdy. I attached them to the table using #14 stainless screws.

it's more than sturdy enought, well made
Just received the table leg to it's credit, it's more than sturdy enought, well made, and exactly what I need...that is if I needed it for a table that was on a deck that I could cut a whole into and had 6" of open area beneath it. because that's what you need I order to get you 14.5" min height. Problem is I bought it for an RV and after just replacing the entire floor with a new hardwood floor, I'll be damned if I'm gonna drill a hole not only through it but through the metal underbody of the RV. But they don't tell you that in the description you have to read the manual in order to find that tiny, yet very important detail. Like I said, A+ for quality, but D+ for misinformation

A Solid Pedestal for and RV or Boat Table
I have not mounted it yet, but I am sure it will fulfill my needs. I wish it came with mounting screws, but given the variety of ways it could be used, I understand. I would recommend it to people after careful study of their needs.

Manual adjustable table legs are perfect!
The adjustable table legs were just what we were looking for! They measured 14 3/4 “ and adjusted to 30.5” . We did have to cut out into the floor for the inner part to go down but it’s totally worth it!
