I bought this for my work computer because the sound on it stopped working completely. I thought I'll buy this and see if it works. It works great. It's small enough to carry with me to school and to work and home. I keep it in my backpack with my laptop and then to work after school. I earbuds have good sound to begin with that came with my GS7 phone and I feel like this sound card makes the sound better. I'm going to use this all the time now even on my laptop which has a perfectly working sound card. I plugged it into my work computer and my laptop and the computer automatically downloads the drivers it needs to work and it works great. I like the volume buttons on the device itself. Great little product with a very affordable price. Would recommend to anyone looking for an external sound card on a budget. It does have an input for a mic as well, but I bought it to listen to music.

I got this to replace the standard headphone output from my desktop computer. The standard output had a lot of distracting noise and static between music cuts or whenever there were moments of quiet in the content. This does just what I wanted. No noise. I don't know about the mic input as I don't use that.

I purchased this to regain audio functionality out of my laptop, in which the onboard sound had bit the dust. Produces good sound, and the buttons on the adapter work flawlessly without any configuring. This is a great product for your money if your sound jack goes out on your PC, the casing is plastic it would be better if it was metal and sound quality is not as good as listening out loud with the speakers.But overall pretty good.

The thing the specs DOESN'T tell you is that the input is MONO. WTF? I had to by another adapter. This one sucks.

Yes, it does work fine. But: The "but" is because the plug fits too loosely into my computer, and as a result, I don't trust it to stay in when I'm recording.

Beautify in its simplicity is the best way I can think of describing it. Note that I did receive this in exchange for an impartial review.I'm an audiophile, computer and otherwise and have countless overpriced boondoggles as well as several low end versions of things I thought I'd take a chance on. After several years it's not surprising I've run into my share on both sides of the price bell curve that surprise in terms of feature support. So here goes.Unboxing and setup couldn't be easier. The hardest part of the process was breaking open the plastic baggie. This is so simple to use that reading a manual or even instruction booklet would not be a value added activity. I'm making a very general statement but in my experience, there's a strong tendency for people to 'hear' quality that isn't necessarily there based on their perception of the product. I'll refrain from naming names. So unless you're using your stereo equipment as a status symbol or a torture device for family and neighbors, you don't generally need to break the bank to get the fidelity you desire.These are a great example. I'm very troubled with my own rating and I want to explain it. My personal metrics on quality are "Would I buy them again" and "Would I recommend them to others". In both cases I'd say absolutely. That's essentially a five star rating on my scale. But having written reviews for years now, especially on audio products. I find other audiophiles love nitpicking and I've come to understand why. Some of it is intellectually honest. A lot is 1st Degree Butthurt "What do you mean the stuff I just paid 3k for is just OK" well those types will flip their lids over one singing the praises of something of this price. But you get more than you pay for and the price is in the low two digits or high single digits.Remember, audio, be it human generated, on your TV, stereo system or computer is formed by several different components interacting. One piece can be stellar while others lacking and the system is only as strong as its weakest link.Anyway back to the review. Open bag and unbox. Within a minute you can plug it into your computer, plug your headset into it and your off. I noticed a profound difference. There are both Best Selling and Top Rated on Amazon for a reason and I can see why. If memory serves I didn't even see drivers loading on Windows 10 which is the only machine I tried it on.Plug into the USB port, plug in speakers and headphones and viola'. Yes, I love this thing. They aren't for the hardcore crowd but nothing at this price point is. But for everyone else, you have so little to lose and so much to gain you'll love them.

Unexpectedly excellent and inexpensive solution to an annoying intermittent problem with a sound card. A vexing problem that was hard to localize seems to be perfectly solved with this inexpensive device. Completely plug and play and now consistent sound available in a pc.

Purchased this to specifically use with my microphone (uses audio jack).The headphones had low volume when used with this adapter, and the Microphone would not work at all.Returning the product for refund as it did not meet my needs.

Wir hatten das Problem, daß an unseren Notebooks trotz neuester Treiber die ausgegebene Lautstärke für am Kopfhörerausgang angeschlossene 2.1-Stereoalautsprecher zu gering war. Obwohl diese Anlage 400 Watt liefert, war der Sound eher schmächtig. Am line out des stationären Rechners angeschlossen sind die Lautsprecher wesentlich lauter/entsprechen den Erwartungen.Nur: die Notebooks haben keine line out-Ausgänge.Ein Bekannter gab mir den Tipp, externe Soundkarten wie die hier rezensierte "Sabrent USB" über USB an die Notebooks anzuschliessen und die Lautsprecher mit deren Ausgang zu verbinden.Da derartige Soundkarten bereits ab 5,6 Euro erhältlich sind und unter Windows ohne Installation zusätzlicher Treiber -also einfach- installiert werden können, befolgte ich den Tipp und suchte mir auf Amazon eine derartige Soundkarte heraus.Ich entschied mich für die "Sabre USB", weil sie zusätzliche Tasten zur Lautstärkeregelung/Mute hat und ein USB-Verlängerungskabel mitbringt.Der Tipp war goldrichtig! Jetzt liefern die 2.1-Lautsprecher am Notebook DEN Sound, der erwartet wurde. Der Klang ist gut.Ich habe sofort eine weitere "Sabre USB" für das zweite Notebook bestellt......Den ebenfalls an dieser Soundkarte befindlichen Mikrofoneingang habe ich nicht getestet/brauche ich nicht, da wir ein recht gutes USB-Mikro im Haushalt haben.Die "Sabre USB" ist gut verarbeitet, leicht zu installieren (muß am Windows 10-Rechner nur an einen freien USB-Port angeschlossen werden) und funktioniert dann einwandfrei.Da meine mit ihr verbundenen Erwartungen voll und ganz erfüllt wurden: 5 Sterne.
