This card looks great and performs like a champ
I do mostly video editing and a little gaming on my home computer. When I put my computer together, almost two years ago, I wasn't able to purchase an updated card. When I saw the release of the new 10 series Nvidia line come out, I new the wait was in my favor. Not being a hard core gamer, I wasn't willing to spend $400+ on a GTX 1070 or 1080. I was confident a 1060 would suit my needs, the question was "which one"? I almost bought one of the OC versions of the EVGA line, but they just lacked the WOW factor for me. When I made my decision, I chose this card. Some people have complained about the price, but matching up ROG components (I have a Asus ROG Crosshair V Formula Z motherboard) and the added Aura lighting feature made the extra money worth it for me. This card is BIG, almost 12" long and takes up two slots, measure your case before buying. This card looks great and performs like a champ. I run an older RC flight sim called Real Flight. In the past, I was able to squeeze 40-50 FPS in the more graphic intense areas. I am now seeing 300-350 FPS, silky smooth and all settings at max. Portal 2 is running at 60 FPS at max settings. That doesn't sound that impresive, but many people have complained about low frame rates with this particular game. At 60 FPS, the visual experience and responsivness of the controls are amazing. If you're looking for a good mid-ranged card and don't want to spend $400-$600 to get a 1070 or 1080, this card is a winner. It looks great in my case too. Good Luck! Hope this review helps make your decision easier. /Jeff

Great for VR, not the best option but pretty awesome, here's why...
Great for VR based on both the power of the card and the output options. Supports recording via OBS. Supports DirectX 12. Provides 2 HDMI ports, which is great because one will be required for the VR headset, and it's nice to use the second one for TV output. Anyway, it also has DVI for your monitor (assuming you use DVI, otherwise, you use the HDMI?) and two other display ports I never use (lol). In any case, you should be able to get adapters if you need to convert more ports to HDMI, and it provides 2 already, so you're golden. At its base clock speed, this card is fairly quiet and fairly powerful. It runs most VR games at a smooth 90fps with no problems, and it even holds up while recording video of the experience. I even have a bottleneck of a weak processor and this card makes my experience mostly pleasant. It can be boosted or overclocked if necessary to get a little extra power, but I have not tested how that runs, because honestly, I don't need to at this time. If you are in the market for an upgrade from a more budget-worthy card, like the 750 Ti (what I had) as a way of making your fairly old rig VR ready, this should do the job nicely.Oh, and the lights look cool if that matters to you.

A fantastically quick, and colorful graphics card for 19 to 24 inch Monitors that runs modern games without a hiccup.
Purchased this as a second graphics card for my second and third monitors in order to free up all the resources of my 1080 for my gaming monitor. Both cards are ROG STRIX Editions. The lights are really cool and add to the aesthetics of your case. More than that, the card is very powerful, which performs slightly better than 780Ti OC edition that cost me $800 three years ago. As a single card it will still run most games very smoothly at high resolution on 19-24 inch monitors. The price is a bargain. With three fans it runs very cool. It's large heat sync performs so well that under normal computer workloads, it never exceeds 38 degrees C, a range where the fans don't even need to run. It makes this card very quiet. It's only a few dollars more than Asus's two fan version of the same card. The extra dollars are worth it for more efficient cooling and lighting. The card is large and long so pay attention to the dimensions and make sure it will fit in your case before you purchase it. On the outside, it looks identical to the 1080.

very pleased with this product so far
Very, very pleased with this product so far. I upgraded from a GTX 650 Ti Boost after having that for about three years. So far, I've been able to run The Witcher 3 on Ultra with no issues and Arkham Knight ran incredibly well on high settings. I'm excited to try it out on a newer release like BF1.As a warning to people, though, make sure your tower can fit this thing. It's a beast. It completely dwarfs my old video card, not only in power, but in size. You'll really want to check the size specs and then measure your tower. I know it's a huge pain but I'm glad I did it. My tower is pretty large and this thing still fits snug. The installation was also very simple for me - had no issues taking out the old card, slapping this one in and booting the system. Just... uh... make sure you remove the plastic covers before you try and fit it into the motherboard... Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything...

THE VERDICT. YAY OR NAY?
I ordered the Strix GTX1060 6gb to replace my Gtx 950. Came two days later in a beautiful box that felt like Christmas when opening it. Upon inspection I slowly start to feel the power of the MLG gods telling me that I'll finally going to be able to pwn noobs. But in all honesty this graphics card is absolutely amazing. It's a little long so make sure it'll fit in your case before ordering. It's a heavy card. I noticed a huge difference between the gtx1060 and gtx950. About 30fps difference. I'm getting 153fps on counter strike go on the highest graphical settings. The strix gtx1060 does out perform the strix Rx 480 by quite a bit. Spend the 30$ extra and get the gtx1060. Better bang for your buck. All in all if you're looking for a new gpu. This is definetally the way to go. This product is a yay.

I did read reviews and it did seem overprice but hell I like how everything stays at a low temp
I went from a GTX 960 SSC 2gb and I started playing Ark , It was killing my Vid card so I went with this card, for one it was in stock and I want it now :). I did read reviews and it did seem overprice but hell I like how everything stays at a low temp . All my games Run super smooth now.I did see the part where the cable could come down and hit the fan blade ( they do need to fix that) mine has not come down so all is good:)I love the card, I would recommend it .One more thing if I did have $100 more I would get the 1070 for the 8 gig of ram .Ark is using all my Ram on the card.
