I would recommend buying the pack however
I wanted to put some brighter lights in my dining room fan light. I also wanted to be able to dim the lights. When I went to change the bulbs, I discovered that the bulbs were these weird bulbs. So I went to HD and they had them for approx. $9 per bulb. Before buying them I checked Amazon and discovered the 2 pack. I replaced the bulbs and they are brighter than the bulbs I originally had however, when dimming, they make a loud humming sound. I have decided to keep them and just not use the dimming feature. I would recommend buying the pack however, don't be surprised if the dimming does not work.

Good quality, solid light bulb
Good quality light with a sturdy build quality. This light has some weight to it for its size, which to me seems to be indicative of build quality. The light itself produces a good, clean, bright light and with the 310 degree lighting angle it is a widespread light. The bulb does say on it though that it is not intended for fully enclosed fixtures, which may be something to keep in mind for your application although it does not seem to heat up much at all. The only way I could see this as being an issue is if the fixture is extremely small, almost to the point of toughing the bulb itself or if the light will always be on where it will start to generate more heat. Keep in mind that this is a GU24 base bulb not a standard a19(screw base).NOTE: I received this product free from the manufacturer in exchange for my honest review of the product. All opinions are those of my own and are in no way influenced by the manufacturer.

They work OK but loose installation fit raises some concerns
The good: Although longer and wider than the bulbs being replaced, these lights fit my ceiling fan light fixture (holding 2 bulbs) and appear to generate the claimed lumens. The not so good: The bulb bases appear to not meet the GU24 standards. After installation, they are very loose in the socket and wobble noticeably. The bulbs they replaced were a nice snug fit with no movement when installed. The bad: Packaging. They were delivered in a soft-pack lightly insulated envelope. The bulbs were in retail light cardboard/paper 2 bulb package which had become open in transit as the envelope had been squished by the USPS in transit. I was amazed that they both survived and appear to work OK.

Good but not cheap.
Oddball GU24 base...but what my Hunter fan requires to replace original CFLs. Overall, I am almost satisfied. Originally I bought a 5000k pair but for my study, it was just too blue. These 3000K, 9W are to my eye indistinguishable from a pair of 75W incandescents. My only complaint is the price. Having paid $100 for the fan w/light and remote, spending almost $40 in my inefficient attempt to achieve a tolerable alternative to the old inefficient incandescent bulb options seems a bit much. Unlikely the savings will be realized in my lifetime, assuming thees bulbs outlive me.

Great, full-spectrum light without the heat!
I bought these to replace 60-watt equivalent CFL (compact flourescent) bulbs. These LED bulbs are superior to CFLs, because they are full spectrum. Even though the CFLs emit 900 lumens (these are rated at 840lm), these seem much brighter. If you look at a spectrum analysis of CFL bulbs, they appear to the naked eye like soft-white (incandescent) in color, but they actually have spikes in the blue and yellow spectrum. LEDs emit light in a broad swathe of the visible spectrum. The end result is that everything is easier to see and read under these lights. Another bonus for LEDs is that they don't have any mercury in them, like CFLs do, which requires careful recycling when they die. The trickiest thing to figure out is getting the base configuration right. These have the GU24 base.

Burn out after 3 yrs
The light bulbs worked great, bright and dimmable. But they both burned out after 3 year. The whole house is on LED bulbs and the rest are all on year 7 without issue. So these bulbs had very disappointing longevity compared to our others.

Great bulb... if you have the space.
These are great bulbs. The color depth is where I wanted it and they work great. The form factor on these bulbs is a bit large however. I bought them for a Broan bathroom vent/fan/light. You cannot fit 2 of these bulbs into it, I had to use one of the old CFL bulbs just to make it fit. (The length was the issue) They fit in the bi-pin base without issue.

Bulbs are longer then orginal CFL
These bulb works fine, but is a little longer then my existing bulbs, so I could only put in one of them in instead of the normal two. The bulbs oppose each other on either end on my bathroom fan and have limited space. Brightness appears the same or a little better for one bulb of these bulbs compared to my original CFL.
