Q: is this something you can use to wash brushes out after oil paint?

Agree with Ashley, you are looking for their spike lavender brush cleaner instead. This is more for thinning paint to use as a thinned layer of paint or underpainting.

Q: What are the ingredients?

The bottle says, Contains: Spike Oil of Lavender. That's all, but I would think there may be other ingredients..? On the front it says: No carcinogenic fumes, no petroleum, no turpentine. It is clear liquid that smells distinctly of lavender essential oil. I have a bottle of organic "spike lavender essential oil". The specific type of lavender they use in this product. It smells much stronger and much more like some type of solvent than this Chelsea lavender spike oil essence. So perhaps Chelsea dilutes it more? That would make sense as it is labeled "Essence". If you like the smell of lavender, you will like the smell of Chelsea's. It is expensive, but it does work. The scent also helps remind me to close it, as opposed to odorless mineral spirits which have zero scent, and seem so innocuous because of that, when it is very bad for ones health. Chelsea's bottle says it "does not cause acute and chronic health problems such as those associated with the inhalation of toxic fumes from turpentine of petroleum mineral spirits." However, I would note that there are people who cannot tolerate the scent of lavender. As long as you are not sensitive to that, then I would recommend this product as I quite like the scent of lavender. I had to save up to be able to afford it though, lol! But, it is worth it to me.

Q: Where can I find zest it?!

It’s a European product, England has plenty but shipping it here is expensive. Zest it is like our orange cleaners, maybe easier to find that instead. It would depend on what you plan to use it for.
