This docking station is a sweet deal at $40 or less. Plugging it into the USB C port or Thunderbolt port Etc. Allows you to hook up dual 4K HDMI monitors, and which you can use it to set up a 3 screen system with your laptop and extend your desktop extensively. I do tech support at home for a living. When I was contacted by my employers equipment Department and they said they were going to issue me a laptop to do my job I really didn't think I would be able to be as productive and efficient as I normally have been with a desktop at the actual office. But once I was advised to buy this docking station, it really did put all my worries at ease and actually help me increase my overall productivity. When I had worked in the office itself I had a to monitor desktop system. The once I hooked up this laptop to the docking station allowing me to have essentially three independent screens, the laptop one being a touch screen enabled monitor has actually increased overall productivity by 30%. Long story short I intend to stay working from home for the convenient in the safety. And will continue to use this docking station in the future. Also they sell multiple types of these docking stations with different features depending on what you need. You really can't go wrong with this one though two thumbs up!:-)

I have a Dell XPS 15, XPS 13 and 7280 for work, video/audio content creation & performances – live streamed and on stage. My laptops have USB C /Thunderbolt ports – and this Tobenone Docking Station checks all the boxes. Its small form factor enables me easily transport it my laptop bag or my pocket.Wherever I set up, I can quickly connect 2 additional 1080p HDMI displays and/or projectors in addition to using my laptop monitor (3 separate extended displays total). The VGA port comes in handy when I need to connect to some older DSP projectors (I duplicate the VGA display rather than extend it). Power is not required to run all the monitors - which is a big plus since I don't need to plug yet another hub in power 3 displays.The extra USB 3 and USB 2 ports were helpful since the XPS 13 only has USB C – so I needed the docking station to expand my ports and add USB 2 and USB 3 devices. I typically use MIDI devices and external SSD. The audio out added an extra audio monitor feed which always comes in handy. The USB 3.0 port data transfer is very speedy when using an external SSD.I know the docking station can handle up to a 100w power supply to supply the laptops with juice, but because my devices require a higher wattage due to my use case (my video and audio apps are CPU intensive), I sometimes use my Dell power supply plugged directly into the laptop because my xps 15 needs up to 240w. I assume I can also use a power supply to power the USB 3 and 2 ports – but I haven’t tested that yet. The heat that some others commented on in a few reviews doesn’t concern me – as all my Tobenone hubs may get warm depending on my configuration - which may be due to the small form factor. The heat hasn’t impacted the performance or lifespan.Bottom line, I typically spec Tobenone products purchased through the Hencytech store because I trust the manufacture's quality control, the clear product descriptions, (such as device compatibility), the detailed user reviews, and customer support is fast and responsive. I'm extremely satisfied with this device and I’m considering the purchase of another docking station so I have one for gigs on the road, and one for my office/studio.

I am overall very happy with this docking station. It allows me to use my two monitors with my laptop computer for working at home. It is light weight, easy to set up, affordable and has been working very well for almost a year now. The only complaint I have with it is that it does not charge my computer. I need a separate charger for my laptop when using this docking station.

Purchased two of these units and both failed. There would be intermittent signal drop/ monitor not being recognized and I assummed maybe it was monitor. Tried different monitors and it was not the monitors. It was the cable that connects from the unit to the laptop. It failed on both units preventing consistent communication between laptop and duplicate/ extended monitor. Other apolication may work, but if your trying to extend/duplicate your laptop screen to another monitor, beware.

This dongle does exactly what I need it to do and it's plug and play. The only 2 issues I had with this was it gets a little hot and I use it all day so I don't know if that's wearing it out faster, and a mistake on my own part. I tried to connect 4 monitors now that I have enough ports. But it wouldn't let me drive the fourth monitor. I thought it was an issue with the dongle but after some research, I discovered my laptop wasn't powerful enough to drive the 4th monitor. You might look into that before buying if you trying to drive more than 3 monitors. Especially for gaming or ultra high def like 4k and up.
