Been working with students who do not have English as a primary language and these books are great for all levels even if I’m not an official ESL teacher, it’s great back up support to the ESL participants

I liked and recommend this book.

Very useful book for the class I was taking

The book is very well researched and an excellent resource for ELL teachers working in the United States or other western countries. I definitely acquired some new methods from this book, and I will continue to consult it. However, I am an English teacher in Asia, and I found that probably 60% of the content in the book just doesn't apply to my students. This is a book for teachers helping students who are learning English in a new country. I teach classes of 40+ students who have no intention of becoming proficient in English, they just want to be entertained and pass their test. I found out that what I really needed was some more ideas for games to play, and I could have gotten that for free on Google.It's a great book for the customer it was written for, but I am not that reader. Either way, I have great respect for the co-authors. I can tell that they are very passionate about teaching, and that enthusiasm definitely rubbed off on me.Also, it hurt a little bit to pay more than $20 for a digital book. Maybe I wouldn't feel that I had wasted my money if it was a physical copy, but wow... it's a bit of a steep price just to feel slightly enlightened for a week.

Well structured with tons of valuable materials and hints of how to engage new learners

I ended up returning this for a refund. I skimmed through the text and noted it does not contain anything "new" for someone who has been teaching ELs for several years. It may be ok to share with someone completely brand new to educating ELs, but definitely nothing I felt were going to change my practice

I taught ESL for 30 years and now retired. This book, by two ESL teacher/authors is amazing for the amount of knowledge, techniques, and scope of learning that went into it. I would recommend it for any beginning ESL teacher, or any experienced one or anyone considering teaching ESL, in the U.S. or overseas. I would think it would be a standard requirement for teacher training programs. It's all good.

This is an excellent resource for any ESL Teacher...novice or experienced. I am sure I will find it quite useful....very pleased with my purchase.
