How dense and hard are these?

These are fairly dense, but not as dense as a usual yoga block. They have some give. I would have wrist pain before using these blocks if doing a lot of poses that use the wrists primarily for support. With these blocks, I don't have any wrist pain. I would recommend these blocks.

Do you recommend the regular or the leather version?

I've only used the regular version so I can't really make a judgement on the leather ones. That being the case I would think that the leather blocks might be slippery on some surfaces. I do really like the regular blocks. They do the job.

can this be used for doing eccentric squats for patellar tendonitis?

Yes, it can be used for ding eccentric squats.

Not worth £21

Definitely not worth the price. Not even a matching pair so don’t fit together properly to make one smooth block. Not as sturdy as the example in the product image show. Disappointing product for the money I paid.
