GeeekPi Basic Starter Kit for Raspberry Pi Pico/Pico W, BreadBoard Kit with Half-Size Breadboard and Jumper Wire Pack for Raspberry Pi Pico/Pico W (Raspberry Pi Pico/Pico W Not Included)

The built-in speaker is driven by a FET with an open gate -that's a problem. I added a 10megohm resistor from P7beep pin to any of the white GND pins found on top of the breadboard. This modification fixed that annoying 2KHz tone you hear when you first apply power to the breadboard. Other than that, this is what I need to learn more about Thonny or Python.

The concept is nice for quick prototyping of circuits but the execution is flawed. Check for the schematic on GitHub(GH). The board I got did not exactly look like the GH one but it is close.Had to connect the buzzer pin on the P7 header to GND to stop the buzzer from coming on randomly. As someone else noted, leaving the pin floating is bad and there should be a pull down for this pin on the board. Minus one star for this.Board also arrived with a bunch of badly bent header pins. I managed to bend them back somewhat. Problem most likely stems from poor packaging. Minus one start for this.Overall, I still like the board. If you know what you are doing, it is reasonably OK. If you are a newbie, and you did not understand what I was talking about above, this board is not for you.

All functions on this testbed worked as advertised. It saves having to wire up buttons and LEDs for testing. The buzzer ("BEEP") is handy also as a continuity tester if nothing else.Note that pins GP10, GP11, GP12 (at least; are there others?) are "In Use" by this board and are not available to you.While it is nice they threw in a bunch of M-M wires, most of the things I use this board for need F-F. But we all have those lying around...

My Pico Breadboard Starter Kit arrived broken, The onboard buzzer would not stop buzzing. (and you can't ignore it!) I tried troubleshooting the board and found a supposed fix on the 52Pi site, tried it and no joy. I then tried the GeekPi support email and after a few minutes the email came back as undeliverable. I would have given the Pico Breadboard Starter Kit a 3 star review for the broken buzzer and maybe updated it after I receive a replacement but with the tech support email address not working I am giving them a 1 star and leaving it at that.

Everything needed to begin prototyping circuitry. Generous amount of jumper wires, as well as a buzzer, four pushbuttons and four LEDs. Some have complained that the buzzer seems to self-actuate, which it does, but documentation included indicated that by grounding the beep pin to ground if you are not controlling it by pico I/O corrects the problem. Can't imagine what else I would need, unless they were to send it to me for free!

The components all are high quality and provide exactly what you need to get started on testing and creating for your first project with your Pico.

then out of no where it just start emitting a beeping sound whenever connected to power. raspberry pi pico works fine, everything seems to work fine, but it beeps. I would return it if i needed the speaker for anything. But i didnt, so i removed it. 3 stars because it still works

can be used out of the box with wires supplied.you do need to buy your own pico.

The buzzer always sounds after you touch it. At first I could fix it by grounding it but now even grounding it doesn't work.

Auf der Platine sind ja ausschließlich Stiftleisten verlötet, mitgeliefert wurden bei mir aber nur Überbrückungskabel - ebenfalls nur solche mit Stiften beiderseitig.Warum lötet man da nicht Buchsenleisten auf ? Da man diese für die Verdrahtung auf dem Breadboard ja braucht, könnte man die Anschlußpunkte von Controllern, Schaltern und Leds ja auch am Besten über Buchsen erreichbar machen - dann bräuchte man gar keine anderen Überbrückungskabel mehr.Beim Beeper sollte man einen Pulldown-Widerstand vorsehen, denn der Eingang ist sehr hochohmig, weshalb der nicht angeschlossene Beeper nervt, wenn man die Platine irgendwo berührt - ansonsten sollte man da ein Patchkabel gegen GND draufstecken, wenn man ihn nicht nutzt.Die Verarbeitung war in meinem Fall in Ordnung, die Idee ist auch gut - nun habe ich aber die Arbeit, die ganzen Pfostenleisten rauszulöten und durch Buchsenleisten zu ersetzen, damit das Board für mich brauchbar wird.

Meine Bewertung fällt differenziert aus:- 4 Sterne würde ich für die Funktion geben, wenn erstmal alles funktioniert- 3 Sterne ist das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis wert, denn nach dem Kauf habe ich deutlich günstigere Angebote des gleiche Produkts gefunden- 1 Stern für die schief aufgelöteten Leisten für den PI PICO- 1 Stern, weil die Platine offensichtlich nicht getestet wurde, denn der Transistor, der dem Buzzer vorgeschaltet ist, war defekt. Deshalb gab es vor der Reparatur durch mich ein Dauerpiepen, unabhängig von der Beschaltung.Im Mittel sehe ich also keinen Grund mehr als 2 Sterne zu vergeben.

Pratique et utile. Tout se place facilement et permet d'avoir une petite carte de développement / expérimentation.Il y a le report des pins du pico, ainsi qu'un buzzer, des boutons et des diodes.De plus le demi breadboard fourni est semi transparent, ce qui ajoute un plus sympathique.Et les câbles fournis permettent de monter à peu près tout type de projet.Par contre, le buzzer émet un son strident (très agaçant) dès qu'on connecte le Pico, et impossible de le couper (même en reliant le buzzer à la masse, comme vu dans d'autres commentaires), le seul moyen restant est de tenter de l'atténuer en obstruant la sortie (mais reste toujours très perceptible)...Vraiment un gros point négatif qui lui fait perdre presque toutes ses étoiles !!!Et les autres défauts sont :- pas de manuel avec de potentiels projets mettant en avant l'utilisation des éléments de la carte.- les écrous sont très petits, en nombre exact et il faut forcer pour passer les premiers tours de vis (et un écrou de mon côté n'accepte même pas la moindre vis, car il y a un problème d'usinage dans ses stries...).- un petit outil pour serrer les boulons de cette taille serait le bienvenu !EDIT :Il y a un gros problème de fabrication sur cette board !!!- le seul moyen de shunter le buzzer est de le court-circuiter directement (en soudant ses pins ensemble)- il y a des faux contacts qui font perdre la connexion avec la Raspberry Pi Pico de manière aléatoire- les diodes clignotement par momentsJ'étais séduit au début mais cela ne tient pas la durée ;'(Ça finit à la poubelle ;'(EDIT: J'ai fini par acheter le même type de produit mais une autre référence pour voir... et c'est mille fois mieux usiné que ce modèle là : le buzzer ne se met pas en route, il n'y a pas de faux contact, la connexion avec le Pico ne se perd pas de manière aléatoire et tous les éléments fonctionnent comme prévu !!Donc le soucis ici est bien cette platine là en particulier !(Et l'autre est fournie avec un Pico avec des pins pré-soudés et un port SWD !! Il n'y a pas photo !!!)
