After discovering my ancestors had a hidden fortune I set out on a quest over field's and far away to find my wealth, armed with just this pocket compass and the bag on my back I set off on my long journey, it was tough and I overcame some great hurdles along the way. I owe my life to this compas and thanks to this amazing compass i did indeed find my ancestors hidden fortune. Unfortunately it was not the great wealth I had anticipated, instead in its place laid a doomsday pack from my great, great, great grandfather, looking after his future relatives in times of need. myself and this compass have now formed an unbreakable bond and learnt a valuable life lesson along our journey, I will now pass this compass down through generations to come along with my own hidden message and this story so they too can have their own journey and find inner peace.

The ring to hold it on a chain, is of low quality. Too thin, and it's just a hoop that pops out (not a full ring).Shame, because everything else has appropriate levels of engineering/robustness.I will drill through and fit my own ring.Great value for money otherwise.Obviously you can get these for $1 on aliexpress, but I wanted mine quick.

Bought for grandkids good little tool

I bought this as a present, and foolishly engraved it before testing it out.My son loves to use the compass in my car so I thought I'd buy him one to go exploring with.It seems calibrated wrong if that is at all possible. Unless it used to belong to Jack Sparrow and is designed to point at what you want, it won't read north correct all the time. For example were heading straight for the east coast and it was adamant we were going west. My cars compared was saying west and the sun was going down in front of us.The pin holding the lid on was flimsy, and after a few openings, it won't close due to the pin bending.The illumination is a lot dimmer than the pictures suggest despite being in full sunlight for a day.I guess you get what you pay for

Do you want to navigate with a compass that doesn’t point north? If so, this is ideal for you.Looked nice upon opening, realised the backing image wasn’t aligned to the north mark. Then tried to point it to my known north, only to find it was actually pointing east… moved the bezel, pointer followed it.Less than impressive bit of kit. Absolutely not worth wasting your money on.
