9" Extra Fine Mesh Strainer with Sturdy Handle and Wider Hook - Perfect for Quinoa

I bought this solely for washing/draining quinoa and fine grains, and it’s perfect. From the pictures it looks a lot like the other two 9” strainers in the Yummy Kitchenware store, but a few dollars cheaper. (The others are called “fine” and this one “extra fine”, and I don’t know how the mesh compares.) Since this had Quinoa in the headline, I went with this and so far am very happy with my choice.

Just opened and love this fine mesh strainer.. however, I noticed the wooden handle already has cracks in upon arrival... and I'm unsure how long it will last with a cracked handle...

I'm back to drinking Tulsi tea. I'm an over the road truck driver so I'll make a gallon and a half of tea at a time with half a cup of the tea mix. I bring the water to a boil turn off the heat pour in the half a cup of tea into the strainer put it in the water and cover it for 12 to 15 minutes. Very little gets through. Good quality strainer that I expect will last a long time.

This truly is a fine mesh strainer. I spent a long time looking for a strainer fine enough to rinse quinoa. I finally found it in this strainer. Yes it’s made in China. It’s very well made and I’m happy with the way it works!

This strainer is constructed of very thin metal, especially the handle. I need a heavy duty item for the jobs I do with it and this one would not hold up. The metal portion of the handle is so thin that it bends with a minimum of strain. I will be looking elsewhere a heavier unit and keep this one around for light duty use.

Love this product! Sturdy and works great for Quinoa, and other fine grains! Easy to clean, by hand or dishwasher (I place on top rack).

I use this strainer to wash quinoa. I think I can also use this for sifting flour as the mesh is extra fine.

This strainer actually makes my cold brew process faster because it catches more grounds and "mud" on the first filter. Then I just pop it in the dishwasher and it comes out clean and shiny. Very good investment.
